We met the design challenge of creating one large family-friendly space from the original front and back parlors of this 18th century Federal farmhouse, while still achieving a multi-purpose library/music room.
The Farrow and Ball color Stiff key blue helped to unite the 2 spaces. Painting walls and woodwork alike in the space gave it optimum unity. The Old World Weaver's blue cotton damask , fabricated on both sofa and love seat, was positioned in a way that gave additional harmony to the room.
Red and camel accents were picked up as a contrast to the blue. The Lawrence and Scott red garden seat became a convenient place to set drinks on in the piano area.
Somewhat unexpected in this traditional home was the use of the caramel colored wilton area rug as well as the custom wrapped linen coffee table. The playful Brunschwig & Fils chinoiserie animal print also gave the club chair next to the book cases a less formal look.

A serene primary bathroom wrapped in bookmatched marble creates a spa-like retreat in this reimagined Lincoln Park duplex. The freestanding soaking tub and walk-in shower with cantilevered bench offer a refined balance of sculptural form and everyday comfort. Subtle layering—textural rug, abstract artwork, and minimal fixtures—elevates the space with quiet luxury.

Zooming out, we see the relationship of spaces centered around the circular fireplace.
We love the interplay between the kitchen cabinets and restored mahogany panel walls & doors- one picks up where the other leaves off.
The floor tone also changed as we evaluated the new/restored mahogany finish, and in relation to white walls; we chose a medium dark brown to provide contrast with both finishes and help ground the palette.

Elfa shelving is the perfect storage solution to make the most of your space. A combination of file boxes and canvas bins provide functional, yet artful, storage.

This amazing home features a backyard patio and pool area with a spectacular custom pool with many features including island which feature sitting areas and fire pit a spa as well as incredible slide which goes into the swimming pool. The pool measures roughly 2300 square feet, and has a deep end of 10'0". The spa is raised and has 12 therapy heads. There is LED colored lighting throughout the project. There is a 300 square foot zero depth beach entry into the pool with agitator jets to keep the water moving. There is also a sunshelf within the pool. The lazy river wraps around the sunken island, and the current in the lazy river is propelled by a commercial waterpark quality pumping system. The sunken island has lighting, a fire pit, and a bridge connecting it to the decking area. There is an infinity edge on one edge of the pool. The pool also has an in-floor cleaning system to keep it clean and sanitary. The swimming pool also has the ability to change colors at night utilizing the amazing LED lighting system. The pool and spa exposed aggregate finish is French Gray color. The slide that cascades down the grotto is custom built. The waterfall grotto also provide a thrilling jump off point into the deepest part of the pool. This amazing backyard was designed and built for a home in Bull Valley Illinois.

We gave this rather dated farmhouse some dramatic upgrades that brought together the feminine with the masculine, combining rustic wood with softer elements. In terms of style her tastes leaned toward traditional and elegant and his toward the rustic and outdoorsy. The result was the perfect fit for this family of 4 plus 2 dogs and their very special farmhouse in Ipswich, MA. Character details create a visual statement, showcasing the melding of both rustic and traditional elements without too much formality. The new master suite is one of the most potent examples of the blending of styles. The bath, with white carrara honed marble countertops and backsplash, beaded wainscoting, matching pale green vanities with make-up table offset by the black center cabinet expand function of the space exquisitely while the salvaged rustic beams create an eye-catching contrast that picks up on the earthy tones of the wood. The luxurious walk-in shower drenched in white carrara floor and wall tile replaced the obsolete Jacuzzi tub. Wardrobe care and organization is a joy in the massive walk-in closet complete with custom gliding library ladder to access the additional storage above. The space serves double duty as a peaceful laundry room complete with roll-out ironing center. The cozy reading nook now graces the bay-window-with-a-view and storage abounds with a surplus of built-ins including bookcases and in-home entertainment center. You can’t help but feel pampered the moment you step into this ensuite. The pantry, with its painted barn door, slate floor, custom shelving and black walnut countertop provide much needed storage designed to fit the family’s needs precisely, including a pull out bin for dog food. During this phase of the project, the powder room was relocated and treated to a reclaimed wood vanity with reclaimed white oak countertop along with custom vessel soapstone sink and wide board paneling. Design elements effectively married rustic and traditional styles and the home now has the character to match the country setting and the improved layout and storage the family so desperately needed. This beautiful, wooded property seemed like a scene out of the North Georgia mountains. Huge Oaks providing shade make for a comfortable setting during hot weather. After discussing the owners reluctance to cut down an enormous number of mature trees to get sunlight for turf, an alternative plan to utilize the space as nature provided, a shade garden was born. A dry creek bed adds visual enhancement to the space but has the utilitarian purpose for erosion control. A large 600-pound flagstone was picked out at the stone yard for the perfect “bridge” over the dry creek bed. Low growing and colorful plants were carefully chosen to provide a near evergreen look in the winter but also color and texture in other seasons.

This guest room uses paint as design element to provide interest and contrast. The accent wall provides a nice pop of color to help make this room stand out.

This spacious primary bath is filled with natural light and elegant neutrals. The taupe cabinetry picks up the warmth of the porcelain marble herringbone floor tile. An elegant soaking tub takes center stage, while spacious flanking vanities provide plenty of countertop space and storage. Custom mirror frames were installed to match the custom cabinetry. Sparkling lighting fixtures complete the space.

Two finishes of concrete create a wave through the entry courtyard. Black pots pick up on the black trim of the home, while clipped boxwood hedges mimic the round shape of the black pots in the patio below, and soften the edges of the space. Tiny lights fastened to the back of the pots highlight the recycled amber glass mulch in the slot below. The slot allows for drainage from the pots, as well as providing access under the concrete for drip irrigation.

This aesthetically pleasing master bathroom is the perfect place for our clients to start and end each day. Fully customized shower fixtures and a deep soaking tub will provide the perfect solutions to destress and unwind. Our client's love for plants translates beautifully into this space with a sage green double vanity that brings life and serenity into their master bath retreat. Opting to utilize softer patterned tile throughout the space, makes it more visually expansive while gold accessories, natural wood elements, and strategically placed rugs throughout the room, make it warm and inviting.
Committing to a color scheme in a space can be overwhelming at times when considering the number of options that are available. This master bath is a perfect example of how to incorporate color into a room tastefully, while still having a cohesive design.
Items used in this space include:
Waypoint Living Spaces Cabinetry in Sage Green
Calacatta Italia Manufactured Quartz Vanity Tops

Measuring 18’0” x 48’0”, the pool is 3’6” at the shallow end and has a 6’0” deep at the opposite end. The pool is equipped with an automatic safety cover with a custom stone walk-on lid system. The raised water feature has a raised brick wall with a curved capstone, Limestone-cladded basin and weir openings to create a unique spillway underneath the statuary. The stone and brick pick up the same elements from the house, providing symmetry in the space. Laminar flow fountain jets surround the perimeter of the pool, providing an additional vertical element to the space.
