This renovation focused on improving flow, function, and safety for a growing family with a newborn, while also enhancing the home’s exterior presence.
Inside, interior walls were removed to open up the main living areas, creating better sightlines, improved natural light, and a more connected layout for everyday family life. The reconfigured space feels brighter, more spacious, and better suited to modern living.
Two bathrooms were renovated as part of the project:
A powder room was updated with clean, modern finishes and luxury vinyl flooring, chosen for its durability, comfort underfoot, and easy maintenance.
The main bathroom was refreshed to balance practicality with a refined, timeless look.
Special attention was given to the stairway, where upgrades were made with safety and comfort in mind—an important consideration for a household with a newborn. Improved finishes and details help make this high-traffic area both functional and visually cohesive with the rest of the home.
The project also included exterior improvements, enhancing curb appeal and tying the updated interior to a refreshed, cohesive exterior look.
Overall, this renovation blends thoughtful planning, durable materials, and family-friendly design to create a home that works beautifully now and well into the future.

A family of five moved into a lovely new home with one major problem: just one cramped bathroom to cope with their traditionally hectic mornings. They had two choices— either pull out the bathroom suite and start over, or turn one of the other more spacious rooms into a new bathroom. They decided on the latter, and picked an open room with an amazing fireplace.
The family mainly wanted to combine both style and practicality. The style desired was something very English-looking with modern fittings and traditional styling. A black and cream theme with gilt and terracotta accessories for color and warmth was chosen. The most distinctive feature in this room is the black and white tile laid in a checkerboard design. We continued this Victorian-inspired style on the shower walls and the splashback above the sink.
A new, beautiful Winchester roll-top bathtub was placed in front of the large window which has simple cream roller blinds and subtly striped curtains for an extra luxurious feel. A large double console sink unit was a perfect addition for this large family. The shelves above the fireplace were given a cream distressed paint effect and now serve as ample space for toiletries.
Converting this extraneous room into a brand new, stylish bathroom suite helped perfect their new house and make it work better for their lifestyles.

The one-story contemporary overlooking a lake and bird sanctuary was a retirement dream - open spaces, expansive views and plenty of room to host grandchildren. While the location was ideal, the home needed help - especially the kitchen as it was dark and confining. Walls were removed and doorways expanded to ensure the kitchen would be the center of activity. The dining table was placed in front of the window and a skylight added bringing in sunlight. We offered our clients practical solutions for storage and space planning. Specific items needed to be accessible and handy to suit their lifestyle. Based on their valued input, we added tall pull-out pantry units and cabinets with “hidden” drawers. Storage was strategically positioned for easy drop off and pick up as our clients came and went. Dark-stained cherry cabinets and light quartz countertops provided the sharp contemporary contrast favored by our homeowners. After much collaboration, discussion, and careful planning, they are enjoying their remodeled home and kitchen where we know they will create lasting memories in their lakeside retirement retreat.

Ready made frames were assembled and, the team set about attaching clusters of spiky green foliage, teamed with softer grasses and leaves. To break up the uniform green, colour boxes of delicate lavender and white were added to the arrangement, resulting in a pleasingly natural looking feature wall. The new wall added a welcome contrast to the dark stone colour theme of the room as well as a little much needed texture. Next to our feature wall was a solid, granite coloured wall with two cut outs which we filled with simple and pretty artificial flower arrangements.
Practical and beautiful. Classic Interiors were delighted with their new green wall which, they say, customers often comment on. The fact that all Vistafolia products are covered by our market leading five year guarantee is our promise that our products are created to stay the distance. As well as being fire-proof, UV protected and hard-wearing, Vistafolia artificial foliage helps to save our planet’s vital resources as it is recyclable and, doesn’t require the use of water or harmful pesticides. Classic Interiors were stunned at the quick and easy installation of the wall and, were delighted by the fact that Vistafolia artificial foliage requires almost no maintenance to keep it looking fantastic - making it ideal for a busy showroom such as this one

This stunning kitchen transformation in Papworth Everard makes the most of Crown’s latest colours with clever storage and top-spec finishes throughout.
For this project, the goal was a full kitchen refresh – something that felt modern, well-built and practical for everyday use. From layout to colour, every detail was carefully chosen to suit the home and the people living in it.
We used Crown Imperial’s Midsomer range in their newly launched Dove Grey and Mercury colours – likely making these clients the first in the UK to enjoy the updated larder door palette. It’s a soft, timeless combination that gives the kitchen a clean, fresh look with just the right amount of depth.
This kitchen is more than just good looking as it’s packed with clever solutions to keep everything neat and organised. Blum Space Towers and Nuvola corner pullouts help maximise every inch of space, while Cimstone Sierra Quartz worktops, Franke sinks, a Quooker Flex tap, and NEFF appliances bring both durability and everyday ease.
We managed the full installation, bringing in trusted partners to get every part just right. That included plumbing, electrics (with T24 Electrical), plastering, flooring from Mandarin Stone, and worktops by The Marble Group. Everything handled, all the way through.
This kitchen feels special – not just for how it looks, but because of the thought that’s gone into every decision. With the latest Crown colours, quality materials, and a layout that just works, it’s a real upgrade for a beautiful home.

Living in Santa Monica and the surrounding LA beach cities often means maximizing space in stylish yet functional ways, especially in the kitchen. Custom built-ins are an excellent solution for adding creative storage while maintaining a sleek and modern aesthetic. Whether it's a pull-out pantry hidden behind cabinet doors, built-in spice racks neatly tucked into unused corners, or a pull-out cutting board integrated into the countertop, these storage innovations help streamline daily tasks. I recently collaborated with a family in Santa Monica to design a kitchen that met their need for extra storage while keeping the design minimal. We incorporated hidden shelving behind the island and a custom-built nook for small appliances, ensuring countertops stayed clutter-free while still easily accessible. These clever built-in features offer more than just practicality—they elevate the entire kitchen experience, making it both efficient and beautiful.

Central Ohio's Basement Finishing ExpertsBest Of Houzz '13-'21

2 years after building their house, a young family needed some more space for needs of their growing children. The decision was made to renovate their unfinished basement to create a new space for both children and adults.
PLAYPOD
The most compelling feature upon entering the basement is the Playpod. The 100 sq.ft structure is both playful and practical. It functions as a hideaway for the family’s young children who use their imagination to transform the space into everything from an ice cream truck to a space ship. Storage is provided for toys and books, brining order to the chaos of everyday playing. The interior is lined with plywood to provide a warm but robust finish. In contrast, the exterior is clad with reclaimed pine floor boards left over from the original house. The black stained pine helps the Playpod stand out while simultaneously enabling the character of the aged wood to be revealed. The orange apertures create ‘moments’ for the children to peer out to the world while also enabling parents to keep an eye on the fun. The Playpod’s unique form and compact size is scaled for small children but is designed to stimulate big imagination. And putting the FUN in FUNctional.
PLANNING
The layout of the basement is organized to separate private and public areas from each other. The office/guest room is tucked away from the media room to offer a tranquil environment for visitors. The new four piece bathroom serves the entire basement but can be annexed off by a set of pocket doors to provide a private ensuite for guests.
The media room is open and bright making it inviting for the family to enjoy time together. Sitting adjacent to the Playpod, the media room provides a sophisticated place to entertain guests while the children can enjoy their own space close by. The laundry room and small home gym are situated in behind the stairs. They work symbiotically allowing the homeowners to put in a quick workout while waiting for the clothes to dry. After the workout gym towels can quickly be exchanged for fluffy new ones thanks to the ample storage solutions customized for the homeowners.

This modern bathroom renovation in Coquitlam features a clean and functional glass-enclosed shower designed to maximize space and simplicity. Large-format wall tiles create a seamless appearance while reducing grout lines, contributing to a sleek and contemporary aesthetic.
The shower includes recessed wall niches for practical storage of toiletries, integrated directly into the tiled wall for a clean built-in look. Matte black fixtures and hardware provide a bold contrast against the light natural stone–look tiles, adding a modern design element to the space.
A frameless glass shower enclosure helps maintain an open visual flow within the bathroom while allowing natural light to reflect across the tile surfaces, enhancing the overall brightness and spacious feel of the room.

Our client recently purchased a newly-constructed home in order to downsize and have a low- maintenance home and yard. The existing side yard/back yard was undeveloped by the builder, leaving the homeowner with the huge challenge of creating a great outdoor entertaining space for family and friends, while creating privacy and overcoming the over 8-foot steep drop from the existing back porch down to the alley.
The grade was the largest challenge because the space was so narrow with such a large fall from existing porch to the property line. The second largest challenge is that this residence is located in a semi-private community where HOA approval of plans and materials is difficult, as all the residences here share a similar look and feel with a very clean and contemporary aesthetic.
We had to precisely shoot grades to know what kinds of retaining walls would need to be constructed along with how much backfill soil and dirt movement would need to be done. After that the design had to carefully consider the space with maximum functionality for outdoor entertainment with newly constructed walls to ensure it would last for many years to come. All of this was done with multiple meetings with the homeowners who are a retired engineer and active architect themselves. Once a design was settled upon, then submission to the HOA board of approval had to be completed and signed off on with all questions and concerns answered for the community by-laws.
The two biggest difficulties within the construction phase were that the neighbor next to the back yard had a large retaining wall not properly backfilled up to the property line. That neighbor wouldn’t allow us proper access and control to help alleviate the issues, so we had to skillfully work around this to ensure what we constructed would last, despite their property not being properly addressed. We also had to go through multiple shipments from the manufacturer due to large variances in the material’s appearance on the steps and another shipment that was broken during shipping. These two things delayed the project we were working to complete before the spring so the homeowner could have the maximum use of the space this year.
Topping off this challenging construction was a beautiful palette of native grasses, rosemary, groundcover, granite walkways, and synthetic grass to ensure year-round, practically effortless beauty.

Although the bathroom had been renovated several years earlier, the original 1970s walk-in shower remained, making this project a true spa-inspired shower transformation. Ready for a change, the homeowner came to us with inspiration from an online photo and asked us to focus on transforming the shower into a more modern, spa-like space.
Wood-look porcelain tile adds warmth, while a bold dark accent wall creates striking contrast. A clear glass shower door allows light to flow freely, helping the space feel brighter and more open. We also built a custom shower bench with floating shelves above, providing comfortable seating and practical storage.
The finished shower is a dramatic upgrade that blends warmth, style, and function, delivering the relaxing spa-like feeling the homeowner was hoping to achieve.
You don’t have to renovate your entire bathroom to make a meaningful upgrade. Sometimes, focusing on one key element, like the shower, can completely transform the space. Contact us for inspiration and ideas to get started.

We helped the homeowners achieve a fresh, balanced look by refinishing their kitchen without replacing the existing cabinet boxes. Solid Black Walnut beveled Shaker lowers celebrate rich, natural warmth while bright White Dove OC-65 uppers keep the space light and airy. We added a new tall pantry for better storage and unified the design with matching walnut crown moulding.
The result is a warm yet bright kitchen featuring easy-clean beveled edges, contemporary Mercury pulls, and practical upgrades that transformed the room while saving time and money. A successful cabinet refacing project that proves you can have the best of both worlds — timeless walnut character and a brighter, more open feel.

Designed by Lisa Gebhart of Reico Kitchen & Bath in King of Prussia PA in collaboration with Gebhart Remodeling, this kitchen and mudroom design features Merillat Classic cabinets in the door style Glenrock with 5-piece drawer in Maple Cotton. The kitchen countertops are Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold.
“The client was in desperate need of a new kitchen,” said Lisa. “Their existing cabinet doors were literally falling off. We went through many design revisions and changes until we finally landed on the final design. They wanted to incorporate open shelving as well as some glass cabinetry, but was having a hard time envisioning where and how. In the end, it all came together for the client. One of my favorite things about the space is the live-edge wood tops as well as the overall flow of the layout. The old kitchen had an island that did not fit the space well that we redesigned. The matching wood hood in lieu of a traditional other the range microwave gave added a nice personal touch as well.”
“The hardest part of the project was making selections. There are so many options,” said the client. “Lisa was integral to the success of this project. She was practical, realistic and challenged me to really think about my needs and what I was looking for. She was extremely patient and always willing to help me and answer all of my questions throughout the process.”
“Her best suggestion was not to think about what anyone else says and choose what I would love, and I’m so glad I did! My original design evolved into the perfect “me” space. I love the space I now have in my new kitchen!”

At Borrow West Park, Florida Bomanite’s exposed aggregate concrete contributes a natural, durable finish that complements the park’s landscape and outdoor setting.
The exposed stone creates visual texture and subtle color variation while providing a practical surface for pedestrian areas. Its understated appearance works well alongside planting, gathering spaces, and other site elements without competing with the overall design.
For this project, exposed aggregate helps create a cohesive transition between the built environment and the surrounding landscape, giving Borrow West Park a refined finish suited to everyday public use.
