This bespoke fitted home study and office is an exquisite multifunctional space with a dedicated workspace, media unit and library. The cabinets were custom-made and installed by us to create a superbly practical and stylish room for working, studying, gaming and watching films or TV. Our art and book-loving client commissioned Bespoke by Acorn to bring their design vision to life and the result is a stunning interior featuring built-in bookcases, a bespoke dual desk and decorative wall panels. The vertical slatted oak wood panelling provides visual interest and texture while also helping to absorb unwanted noise.
DARK BLUE PAINTED BOOKCASE UNIT
The bookcase cabinetry has a spraypainted finish in Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue, a premium quality, eco-friendly paint. This deep blue colour is often used in study or library spaces as it is associated with focus, calm and seriousness. Dark blue is a sophisticated shade for bookcases, creating a strong contrast with the book spines. Integrated LED lighting within the joinery prevents the space from being too dark and adds dimension and richness to the display. Illuminating shelving also makes it easier to find what you’re looking for.
MADE TO MEASURE DESK IN OAK FOR TWO
The large made to measure desk in oak for two features wide smooth-closing drawers and plenty of cupboard and shelving space. It’s perfectly designed for comfortable side by side working and videogaming. Cabling is neatly concealed behind a back panel under the desk. A simple push to open mechanism provides easy access. While technology is essential for productivity, cables, equipment and sockets can look untidy and impose on a design scheme. With bespoke furniture, as shown here, technology can be elegantly concealed with easy access.
CREATE A BESPOKE LUXURY HOME OFFICE STUDY WITH ACORN
At Acorn, we specialise in crafting bespoke fitted home study, office and library furniture for clients in Sussex, Surrey, and Kent. With our custom-made furniture you will be able to have the perfect layout and features you need.

Enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of built-in units can be achieved by thoughtfully incorporating accessories.
Consider adding adjustable shelving to accommodate items of varying heights, maximizing storage potential. Incorporating built-in lighting can create a visually appealing ambiance and highlight displayed items.
Drawer organizers and dividers help maintain order, ensuring that every item has its designated place. Additionally, incorporating decorative hardware such as stylish handles or knobs can impart a personalized touch.
For entertainment units, cable management systems contribute to a clean and organized appearance. Whether it's baskets, bins, or pull-out trays, accessorizing built-in units not only elevates their practicality but also allows for a customized and well-organized space that aligns with both form and function.

The one-story contemporary overlooking a lake and bird sanctuary was a retirement dream - open spaces, expansive views and plenty of room to host grandchildren. While the location was ideal, the home needed help - especially the kitchen as it was dark and confining. Walls were removed and doorways expanded to ensure the kitchen would be the center of activity. The dining table was placed in front of the window and a skylight added bringing in sunlight. We offered our clients practical solutions for storage and space planning. Specific items needed to be accessible and handy to suit their lifestyle. Based on their valued input, we added tall pull-out pantry units and cabinets with “hidden” drawers. Storage was strategically positioned for easy drop off and pick up as our clients came and went. Dark-stained cherry cabinets and light quartz countertops provided the sharp contemporary contrast favored by our homeowners. After much collaboration, discussion, and careful planning, they are enjoying their remodeled home and kitchen where we know they will create lasting memories in their lakeside retirement retreat.

The Deistel’s had an ultimatum: either completely renovate their home exactly the way they wanted it and stay forever – or move.
Like most homes built in that era, the kitchen was semi-dysfunctional. The pantry and appliance placement were inconvenient. The layout of the rooms was not comfortable and did not fit their lifestyle.
Before making a decision about moving, they called Amos at ALL Renovation & Design to create a remodeling plan. Amos guided them through two basic questions: “What would their ideal home look like?” And then: “What would it take to make it happen?” To help with the first question, Amos brought in Ambience by Adair as the interior designer for the project.
Amos and Adair presented a design that, if acted upon, would transform their entire first floor into their dream space.
The plan included a completely new kitchen with an efficient layout. The style of the dining room would change to match the décor of antique family heirlooms which they hoped to finally enjoy. Elegant crown molding would give the office a face-lift. And to cut down cost, they would keep the existing hardwood floors.
Amos and Adair presented a clear picture of what it would take to transform the space into a comfortable, functional living area, within the Deistel’s reasonable budget. That way, they could make an informed decision about investing in their current property versus moving.
The Deistel’s decided to move ahead with the remodel.
The ALL Renovation & Design team got right to work.
Gutting the kitchen came first. Then came new painted maple cabinets with glazed cove panels, complemented by the new Arley Bliss Element glass tile backsplash. Armstrong Alterna Mesa engineered stone tiles transformed the kitchen floor.
The carpenters creatively painted and trimmed the wainscoting in the dining room to give a flat-panel appearance, matching the style of the heirloom furniture.
The end result is a beautiful living space, with a cohesive scheme, that is both restful and practical.

The cabinet's doors are adorned with distinctive leather handles that add a touch of organic texture and warmth against the sleek, green grey panels. The small diamond-shaped holes on the doors are both aesthetically pleasing and practical, serving as ventilation points that help maintain airflow. This is especially useful for storing items that require a bit of air circulation to prevent dampness and odors, such as shoes or linens

Homeowners wanted to update their garage to be a space for entertaining as well as parking cars. For garage applications where cars will still be parked, VCT is the way to go. The homeowners wanted a color that would potentially hide tire marks, but also add sophistication to the space. Charcoal VCT by Armstrong was the perfect color choice. Polished was added three days later to add a protective layer to keep those tire marks at bay.
Southeastern Interiors

The entire floor plan was reconfigured, relocating the Kitchen, Dining and Living areas to more conducive and practical spaces. A modern, almost minimalist design solution gave the entire space new life. The use of warm wood tones and clean lines helped make the contemporary space feel warm and cozy. We also created a spectacular Powder Room with huge concrete wall tiles, a back lit mirror and a super cool pedestal sink.

Enter a ‘Modern Chic’ serene and luxurious oasis, where every detail has been thoughtfully designed to create a captivating bathroom experience. The walls are covered with classic white subway tiles, adding a timeless charm to the space. Furthermore, it’s a striking and modern touch that immediately catches your eye.
Relaxation Starts Here
Approaching the shower area, you can’t help but feel a sense of excitement. A sleek glass sliding door begs you to step inside and enjoy a refreshing shower. Easily gliding open, it offers both privacy and a spacious open feel to the room.
Take a moment to appreciate the elegant fixtures and faucets in a warm bronze finish. Their subtle glow beautifully complements the white tiles, adding a touch of sophistication and style. In addition, each tap and handle reflects meticulous attention to detail, showcasing the careful craftsmanship that went into creating this exquisite bathroom.
Attention on You

It should be noted, the mirror not only serves its practical purpose but also adds a touch of glamour and elegance to the space, enhancing your daily morning routine.
Now, focus on the custom-made vanity cabinet, expertly crafted from dark walnut. The rich, luxurious wood exudes timeless beauty and sophistication. Additionally, it offers ample storage and space, cleverly designed to keep all your essentials organized and within easy reach. Sitting atop the cabinet is a stunning white slab counter with delicate grey veins across its surface.
Elegant Lighting
To enhance the overall atmosphere, recessed LED lights have been strategically placed throughout the bathroom. Casting a soft glow, highlighting the textures, colors, and architectural features. Clearly, the combination of light and shadow creates a captivating visual effect, adding depth and dimension to the space.
This detailed designed bathroom harmoniously blends style and functionality, creating a haven of beauty and relaxation. It invites you to unwind and escape from the outside world. Subsequently, immerse yourself in this captivating bathroom experience, where every element has been carefully curated to provide a serene and rejuvenating environment.

This painted shaker kitchen combines clever layout choices with homely design features for a truly standout space in Thrapston.
Located in Thrapston, this kitchen was a full project from start to finish – one that we’re all really proud of. Built around Crown Imperial’s new Verona range in Grey Aqua, it’s a fresh, soft blue-green colour that works beautifully in this newly opened-up space.
Taking inspiration from our own showroom, this kitchen includes two favourite features – a cosy bench seat and a split level island. The raised platform helps define the kitchen area without closing anything off, keeping the layout open but well-zoned. It’s practical and looks fantastic.
The bench seat adds character and connection to the entrance space. It’s a perfect place to sit with a coffee, put on your shoes, or just enjoy the view. It’s one of the first things you see as you enter the room, giving an instant sense of warmth and welcome.
This was a complete installation. We removed non-supporting walls to open up the space, then carried out all electrical, plumbing, and plastering work, along with new flooring to bring the whole room together. Our team carefully planned and completed every part.
With its soft colour palette, zoned layout and thoughtful features, this kitchen manages to be both open and grounded. It’s a true showstopper – stylish, comfortable, and made to suit this family's lifestyle.

A cedar wood privacy fence is a stunning addition to any property, combining functionality and natural beauty. Crafted from high-quality cedar, known for its durability and resistance to decay, this type of fence offers a warm, rich hue that complements a variety of landscapes. The natural oils in cedar give the wood its distinctive aroma and provide a protective barrier against the elements, helping the fence to withstand harsh weather conditions over time.
Standing tall, a cedar privacy fence typically features closely spaced vertical boards that block the view from outside, ensuring a sense of seclusion and security within your outdoor space. The wood's smooth finish adds an elegant touch, while the option to stain or seal can enhance the grain and protect against fading.
Whether placed around a backyard, garden, or patio, a cedar wood privacy fence fosters an inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect choice for those looking for a serene environment. It also requires minimal maintenance, needing only old cleaning and re-staining to keep it looking its best. Overall, a cedar wood privacy fence is a timeless investment providing tangible and practical benefits.

Whistle Hill Lot 2 residence stands as one of the most architecturally ambitious homes in the development, a striking example of RWH Architect’s commitment to elevating modern design. Defined by its dramatic butterfly roof and a façade composed of clean horizontal cladding, vertical accents, and expansive window groupings, the home captures a sculptural presence rarely seen in the region. This is a residence designed to open itself to its surroundings, embracing light, volume, and long views in a way that signals a new era of contemporary architecture.
The home features an attached three-car garage with an adjacent storage area, creating a practical yet visually streamlined entry sequence. Inside, the first floor is designed around livability and connection to the landscape. The foyer opens into a private office and then flows toward the main living areas. The master suite is intentionally tucked into a quiet corner on the first floor, positioned to overlook the backyard and shaped to allow morning light to filter softly into the space. Adjacent to the master suite is the laundry room, placed strategically for convenience. A secondary bedroom on the first floor includes a walk-in closet, and a nearby three-quarter bath offers flexibility for guests or extended family.
The kitchen serves as the central gathering point of the home, anchored by a large island and complemented by a walk-in pantry. It overlooks an expansive wraparound deck that transitions seamlessly to a lower patio, creating layered outdoor living spaces. Both the dining room and the great room open directly to the deck, enhancing the indoor-outdoor connection. The sunken great room is one of the home’s signature moments, featuring a floating fireplace that appears to hover within the space and accentuates the dramatic ceiling height created by the butterfly roof. The result is a room filled with daylight and volume, a contemporary living environment with an architectural presence that feels both bold and welcoming.
Upstairs, the second floor includes two additional bedrooms, each with walk-in closets, and a full bathroom designed with modern simplicity. From the upper level, the design allows for open views extending back toward the dining room, creating visual connectivity between floors and emphasizing the vertical openness of the home. This intentional play of volume heightens the spatial experience and enhances the sense of modern airiness throughout the interior.
This residence presented several unique design challenges that ultimately helped refine and elevate the final architectural expression. The sweeping butterfly roof created structural complexities due to its dramatic angles and its role in defining the home’s entire visual identity. RWH addressed this by carefully coordinating structural supports and framing patterns that allowed the roof to appear effortless while maintaining its sculptural form. Another significant challenge was balancing the extensive glazing with the need to preserve privacy and energy performance. RWH solved this by thoughtfully arranging high windows, angled openings, and varied window groupings that capture natural light without compromising comfort. Integrating a sunken great room with a floating fireplace required a precise approach to grading, floor transitions, and structural anchoring. Through detailed modeling and coordination, RWH ensured that the fireplace would appear weightless while remaining fully functional and safe. Creating uninterrupted views from the second floor to the dining room also required creative alignment of floor systems and rail detailing, which RWH resolved by designing sleek, integrated guardrails that preserve openness while meeting safety requirements.
Whistle Hill Lot 2 stands as a bold architectural statement and a defining example of the evolving design language within the development. Through innovative forms, expansive volumes, and carefully orchestrated transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, RWH Architect has created a home that reflects the future of contemporary living in the area—forward-thinking, refined, and undeniably modern.

This kitchen cabinet installation project in Lancaster, MA features a clean and slightly more refined kitchen upgrade designed to improve both appearance and everyday functionality. The home already had good potential, but the kitchen needed a more updated cabinet layout, improved storage, and a brighter, more polished finish.
The project began with careful preparation and demolition of the existing kitchen cabinets. Our team protected the surrounding floors and work areas before removing the older cabinetry and preparing the space for the new installation. The goal was to keep the kitchen practical and comfortable while giving it a more upscale and finished appearance.
As the renovation progressed, new cabinets were installed with attention to alignment, spacing, and detail. The design focused on a balanced look with clean cabinet lines, improved storage, and a more modern feel without making the space overly extravagant. This approach helped create a kitchen that feels updated, functional, and appropriate for the home.
Once the cabinets were fully installed, the final details were completed and the kitchen was cleaned and staged. The finished space feels brighter, more organized, and more inviting while still maintaining a comfortable New England home style.
Projects like this show how a well-planned kitchen cabinet installation can completely refresh the heart of the home. With the right layout, clean finishes, and quality craftsmanship, a kitchen can feel more valuable, functional, and enjoyable for everyday living.

The trio of custom-made scuppers not only lend a dramatic focal point but also deliver a practical benefit. The sounds of falling water have a calming effect while at the same time helping to block out neighbourhood noise.

This stunning kitchen transformation in Papworth Everard makes the most of Crown’s latest colours with clever storage and top-spec finishes throughout.
For this project, the goal was a full kitchen refresh – something that felt modern, well-built and practical for everyday use. From layout to colour, every detail was carefully chosen to suit the home and the people living in it.
We used Crown Imperial’s Midsomer range in their newly launched Dove Grey and Mercury colours – likely making these clients the first in the UK to enjoy the updated larder door palette. It’s a soft, timeless combination that gives the kitchen a clean, fresh look with just the right amount of depth.
This kitchen is more than just good looking as it’s packed with clever solutions to keep everything neat and organised. Blum Space Towers and Nuvola corner pullouts help maximise every inch of space, while Cimstone Sierra Quartz worktops, Franke sinks, a Quooker Flex tap, and NEFF appliances bring both durability and everyday ease.
We managed the full installation, bringing in trusted partners to get every part just right. That included plumbing, electrics (with T24 Electrical), plastering, flooring from Mandarin Stone, and worktops by The Marble Group. Everything handled, all the way through.
This kitchen feels special – not just for how it looks, but because of the thought that’s gone into every decision. With the latest Crown colours, quality materials, and a layout that just works, it’s a real upgrade for a beautiful home.

The client wanted to remodel their bathroom to make better use of the space. They wanted a larger shower and for the overall layout to be practical and aesthetically pleasing. To achieve this we covered up a window to allow for a large tile shower and added a new pocket door to the water closet. The new design includes an open tile shower featuring beautiful tile with a built-in niche and bench and a Delta brushed nickel handheld shower in addition to the main shower faucet. There is a large Bertch Bath double sink vanity with Cambria Quartz countertop. It also features Mohawk LVP flooring in a wood look which helps to warm up the space and makes for a nice foundation for the other painted surfaces. We love the end result!
