Our clients, a family of professionals with 2 young kids, approached us to renovate their early 2000’s Toronto home to make it better suit the needs of their family. Although they were happy with the Kitchen layout, they requested that we update the existing cabinetry, and add additional cabinetry for increased storage. In the Laundry Room, they needed a storage solution for cleaning materials, and an updated laundry sink. They wanted the Basement to be a comfortable family space to spend time together, and for the kids to have a space to play.
The Kitchen cabinets were dated and starting to fall apart, and the Master En-Suite was dated and awkwardly shaped, with a tight walk-in shower.
In the Basement, the HVAC bulkhead was awkward and unsightly, and the space was not ideal for the kids to play, due to outdated carpeting, and a lack of storage space for their toys.
We spent time getting to know our clients to design a space that optimized functionality and comfort for their family.
In the Kitchen, we kept the existing layout, but added a tall cabinet for pantry and broom storage. A new island was built with a space to accommodate a built-in microwave, to keep it from cluttering the countertop. The new white oak tall cabinets and island cabinets were complimented by light coloured marble-looking quartz countertops and the handmade subway tile backsplash for a fresh, updated look.
In the Master Ensuite, we replaced the large, dated deck-mounted tub with a semi-freestanding tub, tucked nicely into the corner. The extra space this created allowed us to add a walk-in shower without the awkward angle that had existed prior to the renovation. The new walk-in shower featured a ceiling mounted showerhead, and a useful ledge for toiletries. We even had enough space to add a bonus make-up table to match the new double vanity. Both were custom built to be floating for a modern look, and easier maintenance.
In the Laundry Room, we installed the washer and dryer side by side, instead of stacked. This allowed for a long working countertop and upper storage cabinets that were custom built. Additionally, a hanging rack installed above the sink is perfect for drying small items, and the adjustable shelves and dividers in the custom built cabinetry will provide plenty of convenient space to store cleaning materials.
In the Basement, we widened the bulkhead to allow us to center the wall-mounted TV, and added custom media cabinets with floating shelves to accommodate electronics.
The space was made more comfortable for the kids to play with new vinyl heated flooring, and tall cabinets with adjustable shelves, dividers, and deep drawers to keep all of their toys organized.
All of these updates provided our clients with a home that fits their family’s needs and lifestyle.

This kitchen is where classic charm meets modern functionality! The heart of the space is the bold, black island topped with a sleek white quartz countertop, offering plenty of room for meal prep and casual dining. The island’s rich, dark finish beautifully contrasts with the crisp, white cabinetry surrounding the space, adding depth and sophistication.
Three stunning glass pendant lights hang above the island, adding a touch of elegance while keeping the vibe light and airy. The island comfortably seats four, making it the perfect spot for morning coffee or catching up with friends.
One of the standout features is the custom brick backsplash behind the range, which brings texture and a hint of rustic charm to the space. Framing the professional-grade stainless steel refrigerator, the custom cabinetry seamlessly blends into the room, offering both style and practical storage.
The perimeter countertops feature a unique black granite with a chiseled edge, adding a rugged, natural element to the otherwise refined space. The wide plank light wood flooring warms up the room, balancing the contrast between the black and white elements.
To complete the look, a classic white farmhouse sink with a high-arched gooseneck faucet sits beneath a large window, flooding the space with natural light and providing a serene view.
This kitchen truly balances bold, dramatic features with warm, inviting touches—perfect for both cooking and entertaining!

Project Scope:
Transform a little-used room in the client’s lower level into an entertainment center, featuring a 1,500-bottle refrigerated wine cabinet, a wet bar, a custom-made bookshelves surround for existing hearth, and television hanging built-ins.
Challenges:
Primary technical challenge was to find a way to unobtrusively install a large “split system” chilling unit to service the wine cooler.
Solutions
The contractor started with a rectangular space that was appreciably stripped down, except for the fireplace at the far end. An adjacent room housed a professional pool table.
The client’s primary concern was how to situate the custom-built wine rack were to specify and fabricate. Although there was plenty of space in niche to the left of the stairway, there was no obvious way to locate the wine rack’s chilling unit for ducting and chiller unit.
Both client and contractor agreed that the logical setting for the rack would be along the short wall adjacent to the room’s entrance. But the short wall afforded no room for the chiller, a “split system” unit that needed adequate “breathing room” to avoid overheating
After many design sketches, the contractor had a tentative solution: house the chilling unit in a utility room behind the stairs leading to the basement. This would keep the unit out of sight and muffle the sound of the compressor.
Then question was how to “circumnavigate” the stairwell and run plumbing lines from the utility room – which was about 20 feet away — to the rack. A floor-level path would be exposed to possible damage and aesthetically unpleasing. Installing the line in the concrete slab flooring would be difficult and expensive – and any repairs to the line would mean tearing up the floor. The only alternative, the contractor suggested, would be to route the lines overhead – run them straight up from the chilling unit, over the joists above, and around the back of the stair case. Once past the staircase, it was straight shot above the joists to the short wall; the lines would then run behind the wall to the wine cooler resting on the floor.
This highly creative solution pleased the client greatly: it not only isolated the chilling unit, but allowed it to be easily serviced; the lines were protected and out of sight; and the wine rack – situated as it was in the room – seemed like it was part of the original house design.
At that point, the contractor needed a wine rack design that seemed equally “original” to the home – and here, too, the challenge was met. Custom-built cabinetry span the length of the wall, with two floor-level cabinets flanking the wine cooler. Above, twin glass-facing walnut displays – lighted and rising nearly to the ceiling – rest on a black marble countertop, showcasing the client’s impressive wine collection.
On the long wall perpendicular to the rack, a widescreen television hangs between two built-in bookcases designed by the contractor. The firm also fabricated the two bookcases now flanking the original fireplace in the far end wall – as well as the glass-faced hanging cabinets which are lighted above the newly installed wet bar.

Our objective on this project was to remodel the kitchen’s style to match the grandeur of this beautiful Tudor home, with plenty of room for entertaining.
The Solution:
To anchor the gourmet kitchen, we created a large 10′ x 5′ island topped with a double thickness of Red Sunset granite. With three comfortable stools, it is now the favorite gathering spot for guests. A steam oven and a warming drawer, installed in the exposed brick wall, and a professional Wolf range complete the gourmet kitchen. A farmhouse sink and the lattice and crackle-finished cabinets warm the space, making it a welcome place for entertaining.

In this home, the dining room and kitchen were two dark rooms separated by a wall. Asked to "brighten it up, lighten it up," our firm removed the wall between the two rooms but kept the walls separating this space from the rest of the living room and first floor. The result? An open arrangement providing plenty of space and light, but also privacy and the ability to move between distinct spaces.

This client needed a place to entertain by the pool. They had already done their “inside” kitchen with Bilotta and so returned to design their outdoor space. All summer they spend a lot of time in their backyard entertaining guests, day and night. But before they had their fully designed outdoor space, whoever was in charge of grilling would feel isolated from everyone else. They needed one cohesive space to prep, mingle, eat and drink, alongside their pool. They did not skimp on a thing – they wanted all the bells and whistles: a big Wolf grill, plenty of weather resistant countertop space for dining (Lapitec - Grigio Cemento, by Eastern Stone), an awning (Durasol Pinnacle II by Gregory Sahagain & Sons, Inc.) that would also keep bright light out of the family room, lights, and an indoor space where they could escape the bugs if needed and even watch TV. The client was thrilled with the outcome - their complete vision for an ideal outdoor entertaining space came to life. Cabinetry is Lynx Professional Storage Line. It took our clients several years before they decided to go ahead with the complete renovations of the first floor of house they had been living in for several years. They are a busy professional couple and they needed help with design decisions and choices of all the finishes. We opened up the floor plan and created a more functional space for their young family.
Removing some of the walls and opening the space allowed for a large 10’ island with plenty of storage, seating for the entire family and entertaining. This large kitchen feels light and airy with blue and silver tones in the back splash tile and white cabinets, but the darker wood colored island grounds it and gives it warmth.
We carried the blue and silver color palette into the dining room and installed moldings and millwork to give character to the room.
