This thoughtfully renovated flip was designed with both beauty and longevity in mind, featuring an ADA-accessible private suite tailored for aging in place. The layout was fully re-imagined to improve flow and daily functionality—most notably by opening up the main living areas and removing an outdated corner brick fireplace, allowing for smoother circulation and a brighter, more connected home.
The primary suite was significantly expanded to create a spacious bedroom, an oversized walk-in closet, and a serene master bathroom, transforming it into a true retreat. A new patio door was added to enhance indoor-outdoor connection and bring in natural light.
The kitchen was refreshed with a timeless black-and-white palette, elevated by champagne bronze hardware, updated lighting, and charming shiplap accents. A dedicated coffee bar adds both function and personality, making the space perfect for everyday living and entertaining.
Bathrooms were finished with extra-large format porcelain tile on both floors and walls, creating a clean, seamless, and spa-like feel while ensuring durability and easy maintenance. Throughout the main living areas, we installed rustic waterproof wood-look flooring in a mid-tone oak, offering warmth, texture, and long-term performance—ideal for multi-generational living.
This renovation balances accessibility, comfort, and modern elegance, proving that a well-designed home can be both future-ready and beautifully timeless.

This old, compartmentalized addition needed some serious updates aesthetically as well as make it more functional. The homeowners wanted a large entertaining space where they could cook, eat, play games and watch TV.
The old addition interior walls that once created multiple separate rooms where removed to create one large, U-shaped area. The new space now contains a functional large kitchen, bar area, and banquette seating area. The space also features a mudroom area and back entry with new French doors. The family room is now equipped with an entertainment and reading area.
A bold color combination of nautical blue and bright white on the shaker cabinets from Crystal cabinetry creates a dramatic look. Warm wood tones and warm brass accents complement the space. A large pantry, built in broom closet and coat/shoe storage add additional storage and function to a once cramped floor plan. The kitchen is equipped with beautiful white Silestone quartz countertops to round out the modern look that is fit to entertain. The old exterior door is replaced with a set of full glass French doors that flood the natural light into all areas of the remodeled space. New flooring was added and is an extremely durable luxury vinyl plank material.
The homeowners added their own sweat equity to the project by taking on their own demolition, tiling of the backsplash and painting. This is a great way for clients to not only ease the weight of finances when it comes to remodeling but also to get a first-hand experience of all the hard work that goes into remodeling one’s home. If you’re not afraid to get your hands a little dirty, this can be a great bonding experience as well.
Designer Natalie Hansen created a new space that is meant to last by bringing down a few walls and creating a space that better suits the homeowners' needs and design interests alike.

Maximizing the coastal lifestyle through structural reconfiguration. We re-engineered the living area to flow seamlessly toward the expansive sliding glass doors, blurring the lines between the interior suite and the exterior lanai. The neutral palette is elevated by the high-performance wood-look porcelain tile flooring.

Spectrum Construction & Development, based out of Roxbury Twp., New Jersey is the recipient of the 2016 Awards of Excellence presented by the Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of New Jersey in the Custom Single-Family Home Category ($1,000,000 - $2,000,000)
The homeowners moved to Morris County, New Jersey to be closer to their grown children and their families. They found a mid-century style home on a beautiful tree-lined street less than a mile away from their children's homes. Although the location was ideal and the corner lot perfectly situated for the homeowners, it was in disrepair and did not offer them the space, design features and finishes they wanted. Spectrum Construction arranged for the original home to be deconstructed with any salvageable material sold to the public for reuse or re-purposing.
The custom 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath home that Spectrum Construction designed and built in its place combines country charm with modern elegance. This new home incorporates many unique features including the “drive through” two-car garage that allows the homeowners access to the converging streets. The massive first-floor master bedroom suite consists of a marble surround fireplace, 2 sizeable walk-in-closets as well as his and her luxurious master bathrooms. Two home offices provide the homeowners with ample room to take care of business. An elevator was installed to enable the homeowners and aging guests to easily and safely access the second floor. Abundant storage areas throughout the home, including the cavernous full basement, offer plenty of space to stow extra belongings.
The second story was designed with the homeowners’ grandchildren in mind. The additional bedrooms, playroom and upstairs den make room for both daytime visits and overnight stays. Space for entertaining adult guests was also considered. The first floor includes a spacious great room with floor to ceiling stone fireplace which opens to a covered, screened-in back porch with a second stone fireplace. The stylish kitchen, containing two counter seating areas and an eat-in nook, along with the formal dining room give the homeowners plenty of room to accommodate large gatherings.

Located in the coveted West End of downtown Greenville, SC, Park Place on Hudson St. brings new living to old Greenville. Just a half-mile from Flour Field, a short walk to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and steps away from the future Unity Park, this community is ideal for families young and old. The craftsman style town home community consists of twenty-three units, thirteen with 3 beds/2.5 baths and ten with 2 beds/2.5baths.
The design concept they came up with was simple – three separate buildings with two basic floors plans that were fully customizable. Each unit came standard with an elevator, hardwood floors, high-end Kitchen Aid appliances, Moen plumbing fixtures, tile showers, granite countertops, wood shelving in all closets, LED recessed lighting in all rooms, private balconies with built-in grill stations and large sliding glass doors. While the outside craftsman design with large front and back porches was set by the city, the interiors were fully customizable. The homeowners would meet with a designer at the Park Place on Hudson Showroom to pick from a selection of standard options, all items that would go in their home. From cabinets to door handles, from tile to paint colors, there was virtually no interior feature that the owners did not have the option to choose. They also had the ability to fully customize their unit with upgrades by meeting with each vendor individually and selecting the products for their home – some of the owners even choose to re-design the floor plans to better fit their lifestyle.

Located in a beautiful spot within Wellesley, Massachusetts, Sunspace Design played a key role in introducing this architectural gem to a client’s home—a custom double hip skylight crowning a gorgeous room. The resulting construction offers fluid transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces within the home, and blends well with the existing architecture.
The skylight boasts solid mahogany framing with a robust steel sub-frame. Durability meets sophistication. We used a layer of insulated tempered glass atop heat-strengthened laminated safety glass, further enhanced with a PPG Solarban 70 coating, to ensure optimal thermal performance. The dual-sealed, argon gas-filled glass system is efficient and resilient against oft-challenging New England weather.
Collaborative effort was key to the project’s success. MASS Architect, with their skylight concept drawings, inspired the project’s genesis, while Sunspace prepared a full suite of engineered shop drawings to complement the concepts. The local general contractor's preliminary framing and structural curb preparation accelerated our team’s installation of the skylight. As the frame was assembled at the Sunspace Design shop and positioned above the room via crane operation, a swift two-day field installation saved time and expense for all involved.
At Sunspace Design we’re all about pairing natural light with refined architecture. This double hip skylight is a focal point in the new room that welcomes the sun’s radiance into the heart of the client’s home. We take pride in our role, from engineering to fabrication, careful transportation, and quality installation. Our projects are journeys where architectural ideas are transformed into tangible, breathtaking spaces that elevate the way we live and create memories.

"We're not really utilizing our basement. We'd love a place to entertain and right now it's only about the kids. We want space for us, too." Our clients had slightly different ideas of what should be: he is British, and envisioned a pub to watch proper football, pulling a pint and sliding it down to his friends. Against the wall was his framed Union Jack. With him since university -‐ it was a reminder of his roots. "Bullocks, Ref. That was a right dodgy call."
She, on the other hand saw a beautiful Tuscan wine bar. "Yes. Light, airy; wonderful." Our challenge was to make a successful union of these two contrasting themes. A pub with dark wood cabinets, open shelves to display spirits and glass front display cabinets for glassware. Perhaps an elevated bar in absolute black marble and custom corbels for friends to gather as you poured your favorite scotch. The couple also wanted a wine refrigerator that offered additional cold storage, a small dishwasher for ease, and that sexy black faucet they had seen while shopping. Combining these elements with white textured Silestone countertops began to pull the space together, but we knew it still needed a pièce de résistance-‐ a special backsplash to bring the design into a cohesive style of its own. The tile we found is called "Crazy Tile". A hand painted, 4" x 6" glass tile with radiant splashes of light and color that brought a rare elegance to the wet bar space. The beauty of the tile and remarkable talent and craftsmanship of our tile installer is confirmed as you notice the patterned tile seamlessly wrapping the corner.
We used a vinyl plank flooring in the entire basement area for beauty, durability and easy cleaning. We opened the bottom of the basement stairs to make the entry more welcoming and added coordinating sconce and pendant lighting.

This front porch deck project in Wichita, Kansas was designed to completely upgrade the home’s curb appeal while creating a strong, welcoming entrance. The existing structure lacked both visual impact and long-term durability, making it the perfect opportunity for a full rebuild that would enhance both function and appearance.
At 180 Renovations, we approached this project with a focus on precision and structural integrity from the ground up. The original porch was removed and replaced with a brand-new custom-built deck system designed to provide long-lasting support and a clean, modern finish. Every detail was carefully executed to ensure the new front porch not only looked great but also delivered the reliability homeowners expect from a properly built outdoor structure.

This organic modern kitchen is the perfect balance of warmth, texture, and functionality, designed to create a space that’s as beautiful as it is livable. Our goal for this kitchen renovation was to blend natural materials with modern design elements for a timeless, elevated look.
The space features cream shaker cabinets paired with black and gold hardware for a sophisticated contrast, while a herringbone tile backsplash adds texture and visual movement. To maintain a clean, seamless look, we integrated hidden under-cabinet outlets, allowing the backsplash to remain uninterrupted.
At the heart of the space, the kitchen island offers both form and function—equipped with waterproof pop-up outlets, plenty of prep space, and striking matte black pendant lighting that anchors the design.
Every detail was thoughtfully planned for maximum functionality, including custom spice and cutting board drawers, pantry roll-outs, and pull-out trash storage. The design is completed with new stainless steel appliances, organic décor, and touches of greenery to bring a fresh, natural feel to the room.
If you’re looking for organic modern kitchen design inspiration or planning a kitchen renovation in [Washington DC / Maryland / Virginia], our team at 3SI Design specializes in creating custom kitchens that are both elegant and functional.

This sitting room off of the kitchen became the main hangout space for family, friends and more for our clients located in Birmingham, MI. Completed in September of 2023, the space needed to provide as much seating and flexibility as possible for people to gather. We also needed to maintain access to the adjacent patio. Previously used as a breakfast nook, this small sunroom contained oversized and bulky furniture along its walls.
To reinvent this space, we added a custom sofa, two lounge chairs, and two ottomans that could be re-arranged for various uses. During the summer months, when circulation is needed at the patio doorway, the accent chairs fit perfectly along the opposite wall and smaller, moveable ottomans are in place at the doorwall. When not in use, the ottomans tuck away in our custom designed coffee table and keep this space flexible and functional. The individually placed chairs provided symmetry and elegance along either side of the sofa.
Our large central cocktail table acts as an additional place to set out food or dine over. Layered lighting provides options for daytime use as well as evening reading. And finally, the custom area rug anchors and defines the space and holds together this elevated and flexible sunroom. The result is both beautiful and functional for year round use!

Designed with a modern open-concept layout, this project combines function and elegance to elevate your daily living experience. The quartz countertops and farmhouse sink create a timeless look, while soft-close cabinets and custom cabinetry offer seamless storage solutions.
Luxury upgrades such as built-in appliances, high-end finishes, and smart kitchen features make this kitchen as practical as it is beautiful. Granite accents and thoughtfully planned lighting add warmth and sophistication, while the minimalist design keeps the space feeling airy and inviting. Whether you're hosting family gatherings or enjoying quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, this main floor project brings together style, comfort, and innovative storage solutions to redefine the way you live.
