An expressive family home in Clapham.
The Brief
The brief was to create a new ground floor. It needed to be a flexible home capable of accommodating guests of all ages whilst maintaining purpose and separation between spaces.
The Solution
We proposed re-routing the hallway to become a central corridor through the ground floor plan. This would connect the rear and front halves of the property across a series of staggered level changes. We also wanted to create an enlarged rear space for entertainment that linked to the garden space.
The removal of an existing courtyard allowed for the insertion of a boot room and relocated WC central to the plan.
Separating the distinctly classical detailing of the front reception and dining room, which emphasises our clients’ favoured style and family backgrounds, from the sleek contemporary rear kitchen and entertainment space was successfully enhanced by the varied format of the timber flooring from Trunk.
Maintaining visual connectivity was achieved by way of two sizeable glazed pocket doors that enable the two halves of the plan to be differentiated from each other. At the same time, the use of internal glazing supports views through the property to the remodelled rear garden.
The bespoke designed kitchen from Eclectic Interiors introduces the user to the modernised rear extension, which features sharp detailing and a splash of colour from the feature media unit designed by our interiors team.
The symmetrical rear elevation carries through to the garden making for an interconnected, seamless transition through the property.
The Result
The combination of classical and contemporary elements marry together well to support flexible family living and entertaining. Our clients are delighted with the outcome and feel that it meets their brief and design aspirations.

Designed with a modern open-concept layout, this project combines function and elegance to elevate your daily living experience. The quartz countertops and farmhouse sink create a timeless look, while soft-close cabinets and custom cabinetry offer seamless storage solutions.
Luxury upgrades such as built-in appliances, high-end finishes, and smart kitchen features make this kitchen as practical as it is beautiful. Granite accents and thoughtfully planned lighting add warmth and sophistication, while the minimalist design keeps the space feeling airy and inviting. Whether you're hosting family gatherings or enjoying quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, this main floor project brings together style, comfort, and innovative storage solutions to redefine the way you live.

This old, compartmentalized addition needed some serious updates aesthetically as well as make it more functional. The homeowners wanted a large entertaining space where they could cook, eat, play games and watch TV.
The old addition interior walls that once created multiple separate rooms where removed to create one large, U-shaped area. The new space now contains a functional large kitchen, bar area, and banquette seating area. The space also features a mudroom area and back entry with new French doors. The family room is now equipped with an entertainment and reading area.
A bold color combination of nautical blue and bright white on the shaker cabinets from Crystal cabinetry creates a dramatic look. Warm wood tones and warm brass accents complement the space. A large pantry, built in broom closet and coat/shoe storage add additional storage and function to a once cramped floor plan. The kitchen is equipped with beautiful white Silestone quartz countertops to round out the modern look that is fit to entertain. The old exterior door is replaced with a set of full glass French doors that flood the natural light into all areas of the remodeled space. New flooring was added and is an extremely durable luxury vinyl plank material.
The homeowners added their own sweat equity to the project by taking on their own demolition, tiling of the backsplash and painting. This is a great way for clients to not only ease the weight of finances when it comes to remodeling but also to get a first-hand experience of all the hard work that goes into remodeling one’s home. If you’re not afraid to get your hands a little dirty, this can be a great bonding experience as well.
Designer Natalie Hansen created a new space that is meant to last by bringing down a few walls and creating a space that better suits the homeowners' needs and design interests alike.

Located in the coveted West End of downtown Greenville, SC, Park Place on Hudson St. brings new living to old Greenville. Just a half-mile from Flour Field, a short walk to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and steps away from the future Unity Park, this community is ideal for families young and old. The craftsman style town home community consists of twenty-three units, thirteen with 3 beds/2.5 baths and ten with 2 beds/2.5baths.
The design concept they came up with was simple – three separate buildings with two basic floors plans that were fully customizable. Each unit came standard with an elevator, hardwood floors, high-end Kitchen Aid appliances, Moen plumbing fixtures, tile showers, granite countertops, wood shelving in all closets, LED recessed lighting in all rooms, private balconies with built-in grill stations and large sliding glass doors. While the outside craftsman design with large front and back porches was set by the city, the interiors were fully customizable. The homeowners would meet with a designer at the Park Place on Hudson Showroom to pick from a selection of standard options, all items that would go in their home. From cabinets to door handles, from tile to paint colors, there was virtually no interior feature that the owners did not have the option to choose. They also had the ability to fully customize their unit with upgrades by meeting with each vendor individually and selecting the products for their home – some of the owners even choose to re-design the floor plans to better fit their lifestyle.

Thoughtfully placed drawers below and modern upper cabinets above offer plenty of discreet storage for mugs, beans, and supplies — keeping counters clutter-free.

Entering an expansive living area filled with light, your eye is drawn to a beautiful wood and glass staircase that anchors the space and connects to bedroom areas above and below the main living floor. High light floods a clean, white, vaulted kitchen and filters through the open and integrated living room. Throughout the home, modern black steel glass doors punctuate the calm white interior; suggestive of shoji screens, they add to the minimalistic and contemporary aesthetic.
Moving the master suite to the lower level created additional living space on the main floor, while adding a new elevator will allow the owners to access their gorgeous and serene bedroom suite for years to come. The master bedroom looks through a wall of black steel and glass to the bright, open bathroom with a spectacular shower and dual water closets and sinks.

The clients wanted to update their ranch house and make good use of their unusually large site next to downtown Mountain View. We sketched several options for design and scope of work to assess feasibility and value to the clients.
The chosen design retains an existing bedroom wing, while the layout of the living spaces is re-worked to an open plan flooded with light, with vaulted ceilings and strong indoor-outdoor connection to a yard optimized for outdoor living. Awkward angles and inefficient spaces of the former house have been replaced with a clear, simple floor plan designed for ease of everyday living.
One end of the site is used for a two-bedroom ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) with its own face to the street and its own back yard. Income from the ADU will go a long way toward financing the rebuild of the main house.
