Black stain enriches the maple cabinets in this full kitchen renovation. Zebra marble provides a beautiful countertop, while re-purposed granite provides a user friendly work space on the island. Stylish black and white cork tiles provide comfort, warmth, and sustainability on the floor. Custom antique mirror, matched with Artistic Tile’s honeycomb pattern provide a bit of glam to the backsplash. Bistro and schoolhouse pendants stay true to the era of this 1920’s home. Black windowpanes provide a vista to the garden beyond.

This project was a complete tear out and remodel. What was a very dark, out dated, dysfunctional kitchen was transformed into a bright user friendly kitchen. New Bridgewood Advantage Richfield cabinetry in Maple was installed, along with quartz countertop, ceramic tile backsplash and new Duraceramic flooring. Other details include a tambour appliance garage, wine cooler and display shelving. Undercabinet and recessed lighting was installed. Pull out baskets were added to the blind corner cabinet to better utilize that space.

This home renovation story begins with John and Barb, a fabulous couple looking to remodel their 15-year old winter home in Bonita Bay, Bonita Springs, Florida. Living in the home only part-time, spending their summers in Oconomowac, Wisconsin, John and Barb had an idea of what they wanted, but didn’t know how to bring it to fruition. They also needed someone who they could trust to renovate their home while they were away in Wisconsin. Their vision for their home started with a new kitchen, family room and wet bar. Enjoying their time outdoors and on their lanai, they also envisioned improving their indoor-outdoor living space. With the help of Progressive Design Build, this couple’s home was designed and completed remodeled while they were away, transforming the common area of their home into a more user friendly, functional space. Emphasis was placed on the kitchen and the open floor plan. New tile flooring was installed throughout the space, with all new painting that matched the homeowner’s style and taste. A new Anderson door was also installed from the kitchen to the outdoor living space, replacing heavy sliding glass doors and making access to the lanai easier and more functional.

We created a user friendly space that runs the length of the stairway. A large, hand carved, wooden floating shelf was installed to be used for desk top. Doors can be opened to the living space or closed for privacy. Tje stair are trimmed out in bamboo.

Set on beautiful Sanibel Island, overlooking the lagoon, our client’s home was situated in a picture-perfect location. Unfortunately, however, they couldn’t say the same about their kitchen—it was far from picture-perfect. The homeowners were keen to make the kitchen area more rich and tropical, as well as functional and user-friendly. Enamored by Progressive’s 3-Step Design/Build process, the client was able to review their design choices and budget items well before construction began. Working within a comfortable budget, the homeowners were equally impressed by how seamless it was to pick and choose their design options—narrowing their selections and settling on a design style that suited their needs. The end result was a gorgeous Tommy Bahama-style scheme that included Lyptus wood cabinets with rattan and louver door combinations. The refrigerator was disguised using custom cabinet appliance panels, effectively integrating it with the cabinetry wall for a unified look. The new space included a coffee bar, a window seat overlooking the lagoon, new lighting and porcelain tile flooring throughout the home. A full Viking appliance package finished off the look to this Island kitchen jewel.

The customer elected to reface their existing oak kitchen with a more modern look. They chose a Shaker style of cabinet door, opting for a Satin White finish on solid Maple for the main part of the kitchen and a contrasting Charisma (dark) color stain on Maple wood for the island. New Granite counters were installed along with a new tiles backsplash. Storage enhancements were added to make some of the cabinets more accessible/user friendly, and more functional. New stainless steel pulls were installed to provide the “perfect” finishing touch to this beautiful new kitchen.
