Our clients came to us wanting to increase the size of the bathroom and reconfigure the closet to create a more functional space. We re-positioned the toilet, squared off the closet, and increased the overall size of the bathroom upon entry/ in front of the vanities. We removed the cultured marble tub and shower and created a zero-threshold, walk-in shower with a gorgeous Kohler “Veil” free standing tub paired with a floor mounted tub filler in a brushed nickel finish. The tile is a 12x24 cemento cassero bianco porceline on the walls and the floor to create seamless, spa-like escape. The focal point as you walk in is the 24-inch Deco column running vertical behind the tub. The vanity features an espresso cabinet with the Britannica Cambria Quartz countertop. This gorgeous Quartz features a waterfall edge and a show stopping 8-inch vanity backsplash with wall mounted vanity faucets.

SAFETY The elements in this large open space are all designed to enfold a young boy in a playful, creative and safe place. The modular components on the myWall® panels are all locked securely in place no matter what they store. The custom drop-down table includes two safety latches to prevent unintentional opening. The floor drop doors are all equipped with slow glide closing hinges so no fingers will be trapped.

The Challenge This beautiful waterfront home was begging for an update. Our clients wanted a contemporary design with modern finishes. They craved improved functionality in the kitchen, hardwood flooring in the living areas, and a spacious walk-in closet in the master bathroom. With two children in school, our clients also needed the project completed during their summer vacation – leaving a slim 90 days for the entire remodel. Could we do it? …Challenge accepted! Our Solution With their active summer travel schedule, our clients elected to vacate their home for the duration of the project. This was ideal for the intrusive nature of the scope of work. In preparation, our design team created a project plan to suit our client’s needs. With such a clear timeline, we were able to select and order long-lead items in plenty of time for the project start date. In the kitchen, we rearranged the layout to provide superior ventilation for the cooktop on the exterior wall. We added two large storage cabinets with glass doors, accented by a sleek mosaic backsplash of glass tile. We also incorporated a large contemporary waterfall island into the room. With seating at one end, the island provides both increased functionality and an eye-catching focal point for the center of the room. On the interior wall of the kitchen, we maximized storage with a wall of built-in cabinetry – complete with pullout pantry cabinets, a double oven, and a large stainless refrigerator. Our clients wisely chose rich, dark-colored wood flooring to add warmth to the contemporary design. After installing the flooring in the kitchen, we brought it into the main living areas as well. In the great room, we wrapped the existing gas fireplace in a neutral stack stone. The effect of the stone on the media and window wall is breathtaking. In the master bathroom, we expanded the closet by pushing the wall back into the adjacent pass-through hallway. The new walk-in closet now includes an impressive closet organization system. Returning to the master bathroom, we removed the single vanity and repositioned the toilet, allowing for a new, curb-less glass shower and a his-and-hers vanity. The entire vanity and shower wall is finished in white 12×24 porcelain tile. The vertical glass mosaic accent band and backlit floating mirrors add to the clean, modern style. To the left of the master bathroom entry, we even added a matching make-up area. Finally, we installed a number of elegant enhancements in the remaining rooms. The clients chose a bronze metal relief accent wall as well as some colorful finishes and artwork for the entry and hallway. Exceptional Results Our clients were simply thrilled with the final product! Not only did they return from their summer vacation to a gorgeous home remodel, but we concluded the project a full week ahead of schedule. As a result, the family was able to move in sooner than planned, giving them plenty of time to acclimate to the renovated space before their kids returned to school. This house has a cool modern vibe, but the pre-rennovation layout was not working for these homeowners. We were able to take their vision of an open kitchen and living area and make it come to life. Simple, clean lines and a large great room are now in place. We tore down dividing walls and came up with an all new layout. These homeowners are absolutely loving their home with their new spaces! AFTER - This is what redesign is all about... creating a better space without changing everything. We kept the costs down by using the existing furnishings, draperies, chandelier and millwork. We changed the wall color, added a more signifcant floral arrangement in the chandelier, repositioned the furnishings, reupholstered the seating (psst.... we didn't need to take them to a professional) and added some accessories.

2016 ASID Design Ovation AWARD WINNER! With a footprint less than 125 sq. ft., enlarging the existing 2’-4” x 2’-6” shower was accomplished by re-positioning linen storage and capturing space from the adjoining Hall Bath. A wall mounted tub filler installed on a linear stone and glass mosaic creates the backdrop for the sleek limestone tub. The custom glass window, etched by a local artisan, speaks to the owners shared hobby of bird watching, as do the stylized branch sconces flanking the vanity.

Interior remodel to four 1,900sf penthouse apartments to re-position them in the market as boutique short-term rental units. The Murray small kitchen remodel demonstrated the immense potential of a small kitchen makeover. We started by stripping everything to the studs, enabling us to redesign the layout and make adjustments to the kitchen's overall flow. In the design layout, we closed off a doorway to allow more wall space for additional full custom cabinetry and appliances, enhancing the kitchen's functionality. We extended the counters and repositioned the refrigerator to improve the workspace and flow. The new island, highlighted with pendant lighting and set on stylish hardwood flooring, became the focal point, providing extra counter space and a gathering spot. Additional features like under-cabinet lighting, a touch-activated faucet, and a custom hood boosted the kitchen's overall appeal and practicality. Modern elements like the integrated speed oven in the island cabinetry, and the new hardwood flooring throughout, completed the transformation. The Murray kitchen remodel project successfully combined style and function, transforming a modest kitchen into a warm, inviting, and efficient space.

This bathroom was covered in red striped wallpaper, had an unused corner jetted tub, dark shower insert and a very exposed toilet. The homeowners wanted to maximize the space in their bathroom and adjoining closet and create a bright, spa-like bathroom retreat. The frameless shower opens up the space and replacing the window with frosted glass block allows both light and privacy. Herringbone mosaic tile in glass and travertine provides interest and elegance. A new furniture-like vanity replaced the old, dated cabinetry. The toilet was repositioned to a private corner and LED lighting was added throughout. The wall framing the closet was moved adding more space without crowding the bathroom.
