We renovated the exterior and the 4-car garage of this colonial, New England-style estate in Haverford, PA. The 3-story main house has white, western red cedar siding and a green roof. The detached, 4-car garage also functions as a gentleman’s workshop. Originally, that building was two separate structures. The challenge was to create one building with a cohesive look that fit with the main house’s New England style. Challenge accepted! We started by building a breezeway to connect the two structures. The new building’s exterior mimics that of the main house’s siding, stone and roof, and has copper downspouts and gutters. The stone exterior has a German shmear finish to make the stone look as old as the stone on the house. The workshop portion features mahogany, carriage style doors. The workshop floors are reclaimed Belgian block brick. RUDLOFF Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016 and 2017. This house is discreetly tucked into its wooded site in the Mad River Valley near the Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. The soaring roof lines complement the slope of the land and open up views though large windows to a meadow planted with native wildflowers. The house was built with natural materials of cedar shingles, fir beams and native stone walls. These materials are complemented with innovative touches including concrete floors, composite exterior wall panels and exposed steel beams. This beautiful modern style coop we built and installed has found its home in beautiful rural Alpine, CA! This unique unit includes a large 8' x 8' x 6' chicken run attached a half shed / half chicken coop combination! Shed/Coop ("Shoop") measures 8' x 4' x 7'6" and is divided down the center to allow for chickens on one side and storage on the other. It is built on skids to deter moisture and digging from underside. Coop has a larger nesting box that open from the outside, a full size barn style door for access to both sides, small coop to run ramp door, thermal composite corrugated roofing with opposing ridgecap and more! Chicken run area has clear UV corrugated roofing. This country style fits in nicely to the darling property it now calls home. Built with true construction grade materials, wood milled and planed on site for uniformity, heavily weatherproofed, 1/2" opening german aviary wire for full predator protection

Carefully positioned on a site blessed with spacious surrounding acreage, the home was carefully positioned on a tree-filled hilltop and tailored to fit the natural contours of the land. The house sits on the crest of the peak, which allows it to spotlight and enjoy the best vistas of the valley and pond below. Inside, the home’s welcoming style continues, featuring a Midwestern take on perennially popular Western style and rooms that were also situated to take full advantage of the site. From the central foyer that leads into a large living room with a fireplace, the home manages to have an open and functional floor plan while still feeling warm and intimate enough for smaller gatherings and family living. The extensive use of wood and timbering throughout brings that sense of the outdoors inside, with an open floor plan, including a kitchen that spans the length of the house and an overall level of craftsmanship and details uncommon in today’s architecture. •

A cleaned up pathway with concrete pavers and Mexican pebbles transform this landscape update. To gain more usable space in this narrow landscape and update the hardscaping and overgrown garden, my design reconfigured the pathway with poured-in-place concrete pavers accented by Mexican pebbles and a stunning variety of succulents and other site-appropriate plantings that thrive in shade and part sun. We removed the tree to create a patio area large enough to fit a table and chairs for a small group. Non-invasive/clumping Bamboo was added to help screen the patio and provide privacy. Other shade to part-shade plants were included that provide a variety of textures and colors throughout the seasons. Low-voltage lighting was installed for safety and ambiance. This nook was the perfect spot for a built-in desk! Using the same dark blue, satin gold pulls, and white quartz table as the kitchen, this desk fits in seamlessly with the rest of the renovated areas. Sleek and contemporary, this beautiful home is located in Villanova, PA. Blue, white and gold are the palette of this transitional design. With custom touches and an emphasis on flow and an open floor plan, the renovation included the kitchen, family room, butler’s pantry, mudroom, two powder rooms and floors. Disappearing or Pond-less Waterfalls allow you to enjoy the look and sound of moving water without the maintenance of a pond. A waterfall is undoubtedly the most beautiful and coveted feature in a landscape. The Pond-less Waterfall has made many Texans who were previously unable to relax to the sweet sounds of falling water very happy. It's a great alternative for those who are just trying to 'get their feet wet' or looking to fit a little piece of paradise into their own backyard. Mid-sized minimalist patio photo in Vancouver

The clients imagined a rock house with cut stone accents and a steep roof with French and English influences; an asymmetrical house that spread out to fit their broad building site. We designed the house with a shallow, but rambling footprint to allow lots of natural light into the rooms. The interior is anchored by the dramatic but cozy family room that features a cathedral ceiling and timber trusses. A breakfast nook with a banquette is built-in along one wall and is lined with windows on two sides overlooking the flower garden.
