This amazing infinity-edge pool in Delray Beach, Florida is the perfect backyard oasis complete with deck level spa sitting on top of a beautiful sunshelf as well as 2 custom made water bowls that Van Kirk & Sons made themselves!

The pool is the epitome of simplicity with the walls on the spa and ravine sides acting as perimeter overflow surfaces for smooth sheets of water falling into troughs and recirculating back to the spa and pool. The sound of falling water is soothing while the zero edge profiles create the effect of an infinity horizon.

This Rimless/Infinity Edge pool/spa combo measures approximately 22’ x 64’ the full-length spa adds another 10’ to the 64’ for a total length of 74’ in this bayside backyard oasis. Black Absolute Granite with eased edging was used for the inside coping and Wenge Stone with a sandblasted finish was used for the outside coping and patio. The interior is finished with a Black Absolute Granite tile band and a French Gray marble dust.

This Livingston, New Jersey homeowner contacted CLC Landscape Design looking for a backyard that would function as a space for their young family to relax and play while also being a space to entertain family and friends. Luckily for us, their backyard was a blank slate with little more than overgrown grass and some trees occupying the backyard. To meet both of the client's needs, a space that's functional for the family and for entertaining, we designed a backyard with multiple spaces. First, we designed a deck off the back of the house. The composite deck contains an outdoor gas firepit as well as a built-in outdoor BBQ. As you descend from the deck onto the patio, there is a hot tub near the pool. Techo-Bloc Blu 60 Smooth in shale grey was chosen for the pool patio. To go along with the architectural aesthetic of the home, we designed a rectangular vinyl-liner swimming pool with a pavilion aligned to the center axis of the pool. The pavilion includes a ceiling fan, ceiling lights, an outdoor television, and a bar. At 20' x 14', the pavilion is spacious enough for multiple chairs, outdoor sofas, and a small table. To finish off the pool area, we selected a variety of plants to provide multiple seasons of interest. Some clients are indifferent when it comes to the plant palette. Others, like this client, share our passion for plants. As such, we worked closely with the homeowner on selecting the plants. As you leave the pool area, there is a lawn area behind and next to it. We selected a spot near the pool area for a playset for the homeowner's children. It is close enough to the pool area that the parents can keep an eye on their children, but also far enough away so the adults can relax while their children play. We'd be remiss if we failed to acknowledge the exquisite taste of the homeowner in selecting all the patio and deck furniture. We love everything the homeowner selected and think it all perfectly compliments our landscape design.

Planting beds along the length of the retaining wall add colour and texture which helps to soften the hardscapes. As the shrubs fill out they will provide a protective barrier along the top of the wall. The dark earth tones of the custom Gold Pebble vinyl liner look striking against the black basalt coping, while the shades of beige and grey in the architectural stamped concrete deck complete the palette.

The pool in the backyard of this Omaha home is the perfect place to be on these hot summer days. It was an ideal spot to add outdoor bistro string lighting to create a unique ambiance for those warm summer nights. The light sconces on the wall and illuminating the trees, installed in an earlier phase, increases nighttime safety and creates an aesthetically pleasing backdrop while also increasing security around the pool. This 11’ x 23’ dry Gunite pool’s dark grey Armourcoat interior contrasts beautifully with the deck of Wiarton flagstone set on concrete. Across the deep end a series of flagstone slabs are separated by strips of ground cover to help the runoff water the shrubs. The entire backyard is essentially low maintenance.

The combination perimeter overflow, infinity pool is shining jewel in this expansive resort-style backyard. A few steps away from the main pool and directly adjacent the Master Suite of the beautiful home, is a separate spa and water feature.

What was largely an unusable backyard was transformed into a complete outdoor living space. The focal point is the pool while the surrounding patio of architectural stamped concrete provides ample space for outdoor dining and a comfortable lounge area. Landscape accents are provided through a series planting beds laden with colourful flowers and shrubs.

We worked with our client to design a modified rectangle that would complement the serene coastal setting and natural property curves. The interior pool steps, benches, and lounge areas are situated facing outward from the home so that swimmers can enjoy the stunning view.
