This classic white, small but spacious, galley kitchen was created by Bilotta designer, Tom Vecchio featuring Rutt Classic cabinetry in a shaker style door in white paint. The apartment overlooks Central Park so in order to take advantage of the breathtaking views Tom eliminated the cabinetry above the sink, as the original kitchen had been designed. The decorative shallow shelves mimic the custom curved mullion glass doors. The hardware is a mix of crystal knobs for the wall cabinets and polished chrome knobs and pulls for the bases and appliances, all by Top Knobs. Another great feature of this small kitchen is the Carrara marble countertop that extends beyond the sink to create a sitting area near the kitchen complete with Klismo-style chairs. The backsplash is Artistic Tile’s Chateau Danse Mosaic Blanc in Thassos and Calcatta Gold. Appliances are by Miele except for the refrigerator which is Subzero. The stainless steel undermount sink is by Franke and the faucet is the Julia collection by Waterworks in polished chrome.

This spacious kitchen in Westchester County is flooded with light from huge windows on 3 sides of the kitchen plus two skylights in the vaulted ceiling. The dated kitchen was gutted and reconfigured to accommodate this large kitchen with crisp white cabinets and walls. Ship lap paneling on both walls and ceiling lends a casual-modern charm while stainless steel toe kicks, walnut accents and Pietra Cardosa limestone bring both cool and warm tones to this clean aesthetic. When your home is a go-to spot for the neighbourhood you need a kitchen that can keep up. The first step was overhauling the floor plan. We flipped the kitchen from the small dark side of the house to the opposite side of the house giving us the increased light & square footage. A a spacious island and large kitchen table (a refinished piece from the client’s grandmother), large-plank hardwood floors, custom seating, and statement light fixtures make this a gathering spot for the ages.

This spacious modern kitchen boasts an oversized island with engineered quartz counters. A two-tone streamlined cabinets and fixtures makes this kitchen a minimalists’ dream. Cape Cod; Dennis, MA The design features a prominent Wolf stainless steel range, which serves as a professional-grade centerpiece for the room. A custom-crafted range hood with a clean, light finish is built directly into the off white cabinetry, blending seamlessly with the surrounding design. The kitchen walls and countertops are covered in a white marble with subtle veining, providing a sophisticated and timeless backdrop. This material extends from the countertop to the full backsplash behind the stove, creating a cohesive and luxurious look. The classic Cape Cod feel is enhanced by the off white-painted cabinetry, which includes both solid doors and upper cabinets with glass fronts for displaying dishes. The kitchen island, featuring a dark countertop, adds a striking contrast to the light color palette and offers a central space for meal prep and gathering. The overall design incorporates bright, reflective surfaces and an open layout, which are key elements of coastal kitchens that aim to feel spacious and airy.

When the homeowners first purchased the 1925 house, it was compartmentalized, outdated, and completely unfunctional for their growing family. Casework designed the owner's previous kitchen and family room and was brought in to lead up the creative direction for the project. Casework teamed up with architect Paul Crowther and brother sister team Ainslie Davis on the addition and remodel of the Colonial. The existing kitchen and powder bath were demoed and walls expanded to create a new footprint for the home. This created a much larger, more open kitchen and breakfast nook with mudroom, pantry and more private half bath. In the spacious kitchen, a large walnut island perfectly compliments the homes existing oak floors without feeling too heavy. Paired with brass accents, Calcutta Carrera marble countertops, and clean white cabinets and tile, the kitchen feels bright and open - the perfect spot for a glass of wine with friends or dinner with the whole family. There was no official master prior to the renovations. The existing four bedrooms and one separate bathroom became two smaller bedrooms perfectly suited for the client’s two daughters, while the third became the true master complete with walk-in closet and master bath. There are future plans for a second story addition that would transform the current master into a guest suite and build out a master bedroom and bath complete with walk in shower and free standing tub. Overall, a light, neutral palette was incorporated to draw attention to the existing colonial details of the home, like coved ceilings and leaded glass windows, that the homeowners fell in love with. Modern furnishings and art were mixed in to make this space an eclectic haven.
