The original wood paneling and coffered ceiling in the living room was gorgeous, but the hero of the room was the brass and glass light fixture that the previous owner installed. We created a seating area around it with comfy chairs perfectly placed for conversation. Being eco-minded in our approach, we love to re-use items whenever possible. The nesting tables and pale blue storage cabinet are from our client’s previous home, which we also had the privilege to decorate. We supplemented these existing pieces with a new rug, pillow and throw blanket to infuse the space with personality and link the colors of the room together.

This south and west facing kitchen has spectacular sweeping views from Central Park to Columbus Circle. An eleven foot long island accommodates a microwave oven drawer and two supplementary refrigerator drawers as well as seating for three. The new floating custom vanity provides maximum use of the space while still allowing access for cleaning between the shower glass and the cabinet. The custom beveled frame mirror disguises a touch latch medicine cabinet. Recessed ceiling lights throughout the room are supplemented by the decorative wall sconce.

Stunning is the only way to describe this kitchen. Classic creamy white cabinets are accented by natural stone and an intricate tile pattern above the stove. The unique pendants give this kitchen a modern feel. The wooden island contrasts with the light colored granite countertop to create visual appeal. The dual windows allow for natural to be a main element in the room, and the flush-mounted ceiling lights supplement the pendant and natural lighting.

To create an open feeling in the condo, we demoed two walls separating the kitchen from the rest of the house. The peninsula and the countertop adjacent to the door were previously walls. The neutral tones in the granite steps accent the colors in the entry way to this beach style home. Well maintained drip edges keep the siding clean and the ground safe from erosion. The greens in the lawn, boxwood, and hydrangeas provide additional color, and the blooms off of the endless summer variety of hydrangea supplement it even more.
