Inspiration for a small timeless built-in desk dark wood floor and brown floor study room remodel in Sacramento with gray walls

This small house was designed as a retreat for an artist and photographer couple. To blend into the beautiful rugged setting the materials were selected to be basic and durable. Thick walls are finished with white interior plaster and black exterior stucco. Natural wood is layered at the ceilings and extend southward to shade the large windows. The floors are of radiantly heated concrete. Supplemental heat is provided by a Danish wood stove. The roof extends east covering a flagstone terrace for exterior gatherings and dining.

New 2 Story 1,200-square-foot laneway house. The two-bed, two-bath unit had hardwood floors throughout, a washer and dryer; and an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. This forward thinking secondary building is all Electric, NO natural gas. Heated with air to air heat pumps and supplemental electric baseboard heaters (if needed). Includes future Solar array rough-in and structural built to receive a soil green roof down the road.

We helped conceptualize then build a waterfront home on a fabulous lot, with the goal to maximize the indoor/outdoor connection. Enormous code-compliant glass walls grant uninterrupted vistas, plus we supplement light and views with hurricane-strength transoms above the glass walls. Both functional and decorative pools are constructed on home’s three sides. The pool’s edges run under the home’s perimeter, and from most angles, the residence appears to be floating. From the front yard, can see into the living room, through the house, to the water/inlet behind it!

This 4 bedroom (2 en suite), 4.5 bath home features vertical board–formed concrete expressed both outside and inside, complemented by exposed structural steel, Western Red Cedar siding, gray stucco, and hot rolled steel soffits. An outdoor patio features a covered dining area and fire pit. Hydronically heated with a supplemental forced air system; a see-through fireplace between dining and great room; Henrybuilt cabinetry throughout; and, a beautiful staircase by MILK Design (Chicago). The owner contributed to many interior design details, including tile selection and layout.

This brick wall serves as an accent wall. Innovative and unique choice as apposed to having just a plain colored accent wall. Brick wall coverage can supplement any industrial themed living room.

Painted previously stained maple cabinets, rearranged cabinetry, supplemented with additional cabinets to create island seating, new granite counters and marble backsplash.

Inspiration for a transitional carpeted multiuse home gym remodel in Denver with blue walls

Convenient, easy access roll-out spice drawer in this base cabinet unit. Dura Supreme cabinetry with the Homestead Panel Plus door style. Wall cases are done in a spicy Salsa Red paint finish and the lower base units compliment with a beautiful Storm Gray. Drawer fronts feature a PC shaker design. Easy access is reached with roll out shelves in base units and a concealed recycle center. Cabinet hardware is by Stone Harbor. Counter tops are done in a Viatera Rococo quartz surface.

The existing cabinets beyond were supplemented with two additional custom cabinets, one a tech cabinet for storing and charging laptops, iPads, and phones; the other a coat cabinet. This south and west facing kitchen has spectacular sweeping views from Central Park to Columbus Circle. An eleven foot long island accommodates a microwave oven drawer and two supplementary refrigerator drawers as well as seating for three. The 6 burner Wolf range is supplemented with a convenient wall oven and steam oven. The white perimeter cabinets with white Glassos counters harmonize with the light gray island topped with Calacatta marble. To house the pieces, and make the collection a focal point, we specified a custom built-in that draws the eye as you enter the home. It includes interior lighting that supplements natural sunlight, providing perfect articulation of the design and colors of the pottery by day. It also allows the pieces to glow and bask in the light at night, adding drama. Two window seats include textiles reflecting the color palette of the pottery.
