Monitor Audio speakers were supplemented a Black Oak Vinyl W10 Subwoofer and CP-WT380IDC three-way audio speakers to complete the surround-sound experience. Installed together and fully calibrated by our experienced DTV professionals, this Monitor system provides an unequaled level of home theater sound.

In order to furnish and style the interior of a modern builder’s show house in Los Feliz, many pieces from the SMJ furniture and accessory collection were supplemented by items from local sources in Los Angeles. The new kitchen is lined with cherry cabinetry and a large 8-ft x 4-ft. island includes a beverage center and room for seating, supplementing the dinette seating. A pleasing contrast to the cherry was the island’s white varnish tint. Photographer: Mark Heffron

From the curved transom window to the oval under-mount sinks to the oval tub to the curved glass block shower, this Master Bath is a study of curves. The mountain hillside was re-graded and supplemented with additional boulders to create a waterfall and meandering streambed, around and over which the flagstone paths are integrated. Existing natural vegetation was augmented with a variety of ornamental plant textures and colors.

Flagstone steppers as the main path in decomposed granite are supplemented with paths for secondary use in decomposed granite. Keeping the main path with flagstone decreases any grit getting into the house while the secondary paths in just DG keep the budget down.

This small house was designed as a retreat for an artist and photographer couple. To blend into the beautiful rugged setting the materials were selected to be basic and durable. Thick walls are finished with white interior plaster and black exterior stucco. Natural wood is layered at the ceilings and extend southward to shade the large windows. The floors are of radiantly heated concrete. Supplemental heat is provided by a Danish wood stove. The roof extends east covering a flagstone terrace for exterior gatherings and dining.

New 2 Story 1,200-square-foot laneway house. The two-bed, two-bath unit had hardwood floors throughout, a washer and dryer; and an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. This forward thinking secondary building is all Electric, NO natural gas. Heated with air to air heat pumps and supplemental electric baseboard heaters (if needed). Includes future Solar array rough-in and structural built to receive a soil green roof down the road.

We helped conceptualize then build a waterfront home on a fabulous lot, with the goal to maximize the indoor/outdoor connection. Enormous code-compliant glass walls grant uninterrupted vistas, plus we supplement light and views with hurricane-strength transoms above the glass walls. Both functional and decorative pools are constructed on home’s three sides. The pool’s edges run under the home’s perimeter, and from most angles, the residence appears to be floating. From the front yard, can see into the living room, through the house, to the water/inlet behind it!
