We were hired to create a Lake Charlevoix retreat for our client’s to be used by their whole family throughout the year. We were tasked with creating an inviting cottage that would also have plenty of space for the family and their guests. The main level features open concept living and dining, gourmet kitchen, walk-in pantry, office/library, laundry, powder room and master suite. The walk-out lower level houses a recreation room, wet bar/kitchenette, guest suite, two guest bedrooms, large bathroom, beach entry area and large walk in closet for all their outdoor gear. Balconies and a beautiful stone patio allow the family to live and entertain seamlessly from inside to outside. Coffered ceilings, built in shelving and beautiful white moldings create a stunning interior. This 1964 split-level looked like every other house on the block before adding a 1,000sf addition over the existing Living, Dining, Kitchen and Family rooms. New siding, trim and columns were added throughout, while the existing brick remained.

Blue painted pantry and coffee bar matches the kitchen's islands to create a stunning focal point. The high gloss finish on the wood top adds that extra pop to this custom pantry and highlights the natural beauty of the wood.

The backyard is proposed with a vintage feeling. Space is combining pathways, patio, fireplace, outdoor kitchen, swing, and colorful and different plant turfs. The backyard was converted into an ideal environment to hear the bird noises and rustling sounds of nature.
