The emphasis for this recent Ray Morrow Design / Build project in Irvine California was to create an environment that offered a very clean sophisticated feel and yet is still infused with textures and interactive relatable spaces. Imported from Italy by Brewster Home Fashions, this elegant leaf trail wallpaper was installed in the client's kitchen and laundry room as the finishing touch of their remodel. The old wallpaper was removed, the trim painted, cabinets redone, all brought together with this more traditional pattern.

Jeff McCutcheon A large space that was made narrow by a second staircase. We took the stairs out and turned it into the principle gathering space for the family, combining the functionalities of living room, great room, family room and media room.

With its neutral foundation, Lakeside gives you so many decorating possibilities. Like its name suggests, this collection is right at home in a nautical-themed room. Distressed-wood tables and a sand-colored sisal rug will help set the tone for this casual space. Simply add a smattering of thematic accents to tie it all together.

EAST PATIO: A gathering area is conveniently located between the outdoor kitchen and pool area. Paver are a reverse Moreno satillo on concrete slab. A step down to the pool level and the pavers have changed to chiseled cantera stone. The kitchen countertop is travertine commensurate with the adobe stucco veneer of the masonry structure. Here , at dusk, the view is of 'purple mountain majesty.'

The dining area features an accent wall in a dark gray-blue which complements the wood tones of the furniture and art, and also connects thematically to the kitchen and dry bar through the use of color.

Interior Details were important to owner. Saturated color and natural wood were thematic. The owners are artists, more as an avocation than as a profession, so the house had to provide options for displaying art. The surfaces, materials, and architectural components were studied carefully for complimentary relationships.

The Don Fuego Dispensary interior design captures the vibrant essence of Día de los Muertos with a contemporary twist, creating an immersive and culturally rich experience for visitors. The space is characterized by a bold combination of traditional Mexican elements and modern aesthetics, blending authenticity with a moody, sophisticated atmosphere. As you enter, custom arches inspired by traditional Mexican architecture frame the space, their curves softened by the rich texture of black limewash on the walls. The deep matte finish of the limewash evokes a sense of mystery and depth, perfectly contrasted by the vibrant orange Roman clay accents, which add warmth and echo the festive tones of Día de los Muertos. The floor is a standout feature, designed with epoxy that mimics the swirling effect of smoke, giving the sensation of walking on mist. This unique texture adds an ethereal, dreamlike quality to the space, reinforcing the moody and mystical ambiance. At the heart of the dispensary is a custom-built checkout counter, designed to blend seamlessly into the aesthetic with its sculptural form and hand-crafted details. Behind the counter, custom LED signs illuminate with soft, glowing light, displaying Don Fuego's logo and thematic phrases, all in a style that mirrors the playful yet reverent nature of Mexican art. Murals adorn the walls, celebrating the artistry of Día de los Muertos, with intricate, colorful depictions of alebrijes, marigolds, and traditional imagery, all carefully integrated into the overall design. These murals not only serve as striking visual focal points but also as a tribute to the cultural significance of honoring the dead. To complete the atmosphere, moody lighting casts soft shadows throughout the space, enhancing the deep hues of the limewash and clay walls. This creates an intimate, almost otherworldly setting that invites customers to explore, linger, and enjoy the sensory experience that is Don Fuego. The overall design balances celebration with sophistication, making Don Fuego a modern-day altar to culture, creativity, and the spirit of Día de los Muertos.

Mid-sized mediterranean white one-story stucco exterior home idea in Sacramento

The goal of this project was to reflect the clients’ appreciation, experience and understanding of Asian cultures in their own home landscape. The result is a series of thematic plantings, stonework and structures that reference Japanese gardens and accommodate the needs of the homeowners. Serving as the centerpiece of the landscape are a teahouse and a series of stone walks traversing a small water feature, creating a serene, contemplative space.

Our Dark Glazed cabinets have a raised rectangular design in the middle. They feature an elegant finish that goes well with anything, from white bathroom fixtures to steel kitchen appliances to thematic office decorations. The cabinets look particularly good with cherry wooden furniture and dark walnut furnishings. You can use them to create a classical or contemporary look.
