Flanking each side of the fireplace with custom draperies helped to define the living room space and emphasis to the fireplace being the focal point of the space. Coordinating the drapery fabrics with the window treatments in the connecting spaces really tied the rooms together.

This music room is wrapped in tradition and is the perfect environment to settle in and listen to all your favorite classics while enjoying the luxurious fabrics that create a warm inviting space. We used Alustra Silhouettes for light control and coordinated them with custom draperies and rich deep wood toned hardware that really completes the traditional style. To embellish the drapery hardware we added a "crest" mounted on the rod, which is available in multiple finishes and styles.

Wood blinds provide all the function you need at the window, you can direct the incoming daylight, close them for privacy, or raise them and see out. Adding functioning draperies is a great way to soften the harsh lines of the wood blinds and create both beauty and function.

In this formal dining room we wanted to dress up the windows. We chose sheer panels to provide some privacy and light diffusion and topped them with a more formal valance lined with decorative trim. This provides a casual yet elegant feel that coordinates well with the more traditional furniture and Oriental rug, working all together for an overall transitional style. Here you can see the designer screen shade that was previously tucked away in its head rail.

This lovely room is part of our clients lower rec room. They wanted to cut down the glare of the natural sunlight while still being able to see their lovely patio. To achieve their goals we used Designer Screen shades that tie in with the colors of the existing furniture bringing a nice harmony to the room.

Our client wanted to add some softness to this arch window of shutters in their dining room. Drawing influence from the wall color and furniture finishes we used shimmering damask drapery fabric and mirrored glass finials on the hardware to create a stunning window dressing.

“Just as described, there is an edgy, irreverent vibe here, but the result has an appropriate stature and seriousness. Love the overscale windows. And the outdoor spaces are so great.”
Situated atop an old Civil War battle site, this new residence was conceived for a couple with southern values and a rock-and-roll attitude. The project consists of a house, a pool with a pool house and a renovated music studio. A marriage of modern and traditional design, this project used a combination of California redwood siding, stone and a slate roof with flat-seam lead overhangs. Intimate and well planned, there is no space wasted in this home. The execution of the detail work, such as handmade railings, metal awnings and custom windows jambs, made this project mesmerizing.
Cues from the client and how they use their space helped inspire and develop the initial floor plan, making it live at a human scale but with dramatic elements. Their varying taste then inspired the theme of traditional with an edge. The lines and rhythm of the house were simplified, and then complemented with some key details that made the house a juxtaposition of styles.
The wood Ultimate Casement windows were all standard sizes. However, there was a desire to make the windows have a “deep pocket” look to create a break in the facade and add a dramatic shadow line. Marvin was able to customize the jambs by extruding them to the exterior. They added a very thin exterior profile, which negated the need for exterior casing. The same detail was in the stone veneers and walls, as well as the horizontal siding walls, with no need for any modification. This resulted in a very sleek look.
