This project is one of the most extensive TVL scopes to date! This house sits in a phenomenal site location in Golden and features a number of incredible and original architectural details. However, years of shifting had caused massive structural damage to the home on both the main and basement levels, resulting in shifting door frames, split drywall, and sinking floors. Few spaces in this house were left untouched, with the remodeling scope eventually including the kitchen, living room, pantry, entryway and staircase, master bedroom, master bathroom, full basement, and basement bedrooms and bathrooms. Expanding the scope in this way allowed for a design that is cohesive space to space, and creates an environment that captures the essence of the family's persona at every turn. There are many stunning elements to this renovation, but a few favorites include the insanely gorgeous custom steel elements at the front entry, Tharp custom cabinetry in the kitchen and pantry, and unique stone in just about every room of the house. Our clients for this project are both geologists. This alone opened an entire world of unique interest in material that we have never explored before. Floors feature Hampton Carrera marble placed in a diagonal fashion. Walls are flanked in the same sumptuous product in a brick pattern to juxtapose the composition. The original shower was enlarged and showcases a picture framed insert of a smaller scale arabesque mosaic. No detail was left untouched; elegant skirting-board on the floor and crown molding add to the elevated ambience. Custom fixtures in a two-toned finish of polished nickel and brass herald the triumph. No ordinary sink would suffice; precious-metal-jeweler custom drop-in sinks in polished stainless were sourced. Medicine cabinets were fitted with a decorative gold frame for an added extravagance while crystal sconces light the way. Rare, Verde Empress green marble tops the vanity and tub surround to complete the highly refined, yet welcoming space.

This project involved the complete restoration and remodeling of a small, semi-detached Victorian gardener’s cottage. Having remained untouched for over 30 years, the property was in desperate need of a sympathetic overhaul to transition it into a functional family home. The owners, originally from South Africa, placed a high priority on the "Braai" lifestyle—the South African tradition of social, outdoor cooking and living. The challenge was to integrate this cultural requirement into a traditional English cottage setting while navigating the strict constraints of the property’s location within the Green Belt and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Designing within an AONB is always a delicate balancing act, made more complex here by a history of previous extensions. To secure planning permission, we produced a meticulous Design and Access Statement, engaging in close consultation with local planners to ensure the new additions were proportionate and respectful of the cottage's heritage. The internal layout was reimagined to create an expansive, open-plan kitchen and living area that serves as the home's central hub. To honor the owners' roots, the design centers on the transition between the interior and the landscape. We created a bespoke outdoor terrace specifically designed for the summer "Braai," positioned to take full advantage of the views over the surrounding open countryside.

The existing Georgian mansion, located in this Landmarked district, had remained largely untouched since the early 1960s. The gut renovation included an enlargement and modernization of the kitchen and family room, a new children’s play area and reconfigured service stair. The main stair was restored and second-floor landing was enlarged and opened to provide daylight to the center of the house. Here, a welcoming sitting area leads to a reconfigured master bedroom and dressing suite, a study, bedroom suites for the children, and an attic space for drum practice. Details included restoration and enhancement of existing millwork, fireplace stonework and trim; with new finishes and furnishings by Kimberly Hall Creative. A high-velocity central HVAC system was added along with a full electrical upgrade. Exterior work included a new custom side entrance, transom and side lites and new custom iron handrails.

In 17th century Isaac Newton identified the colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet) that make up the visible spectrum. And as his discovery at a time shocked the world and became a first step for a new era of discoveries and world evolution, we believe that the new Electric collection, creation of which is based on a solid theory of photon spectrum and physical characteristics of 4 speeds of rays which travel between Gamma as form of nuclear and cosmic radiation to infrared rays, a result of movement of lower-energy photons, will become a breakthrough of contemporary interior design. This collection reflects a principally new approach to perception of rug in interior making it an art object at the first place. Nevertheless, very important value that remains untouched whatever we do and however futuristic our works are is extreme care about ecologic background and sustainability of our product. Through all the history of Atelier Tapis Rouge each of our rugs has been manually drawn by the team of our designers and afterwards tinted and knotted by hands of best Nepalese craftsmen, who carefully maintain tradition of rug knotting throughout the centuries. The world has gone through a very hard time during last 2 years and perception of things, behavior, philosophic approach of people has changed drastically. We all need a recharge of energy and inspiration to restart our live paths in a new reality and there is no better place where we get energetic feed as home and family. Therefore, having created Electtrico we meant to boost the homes with warm solar energy – eternal source of life and continuity and we believe that it is a good start for new conquests. This kitchen was designed for the MAXIMALIST in mind. A homeowner who enjoys displaying all their antiques and chosen novelties from all over the world. No space was to be left untouched. Special attention was designed around custom detail beaded inset cabinetry, walnut countertops, polished lacquered bar with a tribute to their Naval background. Even the refrigerator is to be displayed through the glass

The primary bedroom didn’t go untouched. We anchored the space with Benjamin Moore Dragon’s Breath on the accent wall—a moody, rich tone that adds instant depth. It sets a stunning backdrop for the Rejuvenation Imbrie Articulating Sconces, which bring a classic brass-and-enamel moment into the mix. Paired with Buster + Punch dimmer switches, the lighting now responds intuitively to any mood, from soft nighttime reading to bright morning motivation. Grounding the room is Dreamweaver’s Finishing Touch carpet in Shortbread, a soft, neutral foundation that keeps the room feeling cozy and connected to the palette of the bath.

Bright colors and white cabinets were utilized to contrast the wood paneling and wood floors left untouched in the adjacent original living room. Renovation and expansion of a 1930s-era classic. Buying an old house can be daunting. But with careful planning and some creative thinking, phasing the improvements helped this family realize their dreams over time. The original International Style house was built in 1934 and had been largely untouched except for a small sunroom addition. Phase 1 construction involved opening up the interior and refurbishing all of the finishes. Phase 2 included a sunroom/master bedroom extension, renovation of an upstairs bath, a complete overhaul of the landscape and the addition of a swimming pool and terrace. And thirteen years after the owners purchased the home, Phase 3 saw the addition of a completely private master bedroom & closet, an entry vestibule and powder room, and a new covered porch.

The Chambord Residence was a typical worker’s duplex house in the heart of the patrimonial neighbourhood of the Plateau Mont-Royal. The initial intent of this residential renovation project was to annex a master bedroom that would have a view over the iconic Mount Royal, and at the same time, a rooftop terrace. The new addition’s architecture had to contrast with the existing building which stayed untouched. It consisted of a simple volume laid gently over the duplex. We recessed the facade of the new construction to keep the initial alignment of the street. The client’s love for natural materials and bright colors made it easy for us to choose copper as the siding finish for the extension. The idea of seeing his house change color and evolve through time and natural oxidation made it clear for him that it was the most interesting material. We chose a diamond shaped tile to cover the new add-on construction, as it refers to the vernacular false-mansard found in the city, and adds a texture that will make the copper age unevenly. Our client wanted an open concept space in a long narrow home that left original textures and details untouched. A brick wall was exposed as a walnut kitchen and floor-to-ceiling glazing were added. Highlights are a Beni Ourain Moroccan rug from the Atlas Mountains and a CH-25 chair from our favourite Scandinavian furniture designer Hans Wegner. Construction by Greening Homes
