The back wall of the kitchen hides a large walk-in pantry complete with a prep sink and beverage center. The appliances are panelled where possible to reduce the amount of stainless steel in the space. Appliance garages with retracting doors to the left and right of the range hide frequently used items.

This natural and industrial kitchen features the elegant contrast of both light and dark, and old world and new.
A sleek and streamlined concrete countertop spans the perimeter of the kitchen making this the room’s points of focus. Brandon Columbus of Oklahoma Construction LLC cast-in-place using SS Specialties enCOUNTER Grey Mix followed by SS Water Base 40 Epoxy and top coated with SS Water Base 60 Urethane as suggested by the manufacturer to ensure that it remains impermeable and stain proof. No color was added to the grey mix, which allows the authentic beauty of the mix to emerge.
The contrast between dark hand scraped, rustic wood floors and the refined pure white cabinetry truly make this kitchen a work of art.
Other nice touches include corrugated metal applied to the vertical wall facing the bar stools, reclaimed old barn wood on the sides of the center island with the butcher block on top and industrial lighting.

We completely revamped this bathroom, replacing everything.
The vertical mosaic stripes on the walls tie everything together with a blend of stainless steel, grey limestone, white marble, and grey glass. The walls and floor are 12x24" porcelain tiles (grouted with QuartzLock 2 urethane grout). The back/feature wall is polished to help reflect more light.
The espresso cabinet is topped with a 2cm Calcatta marble slab, brushed nickel faucet, and a Ronbow glass vessel sink. The countertop is lit from below so that it glows when the main lights are off.
The mirror was found in a thrift shop and lightly polished to remove damage.

This house is discreetly tucked into its wooded site in the Mad River Valley near the Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. The soaring roof lines complement the slope of the land and open up views though large windows to a meadow planted with native wildflowers. The house was built with natural materials of cedar shingles, fir beams and native stone walls. These materials are complemented with innovative touches including concrete floors, composite exterior wall panels and exposed steel beams. The home is passively heated by the sun, aided by triple pane windows and super-insulated walls.

By relocating the hall bathroom, we were able to create an ensuite bathroom with a generous shower, double vanity, and plenty of space left over for a separate walk-in closet. We paired the classic look of marble with matte black fixtures to add a sophisticated, modern edge. The natural wood tones of the vanity and teak bench bring warmth to the space. A frosted glass pocket door to the walk-through closet provides privacy, but still allows light through. We gave our clients additional storage by building drawers into the Cape Cod’s eave space.

Close-up of the granite counter-top, with custom cut/finished butcher block Folded Laundry Board. Note handles on Laundry Board are a must due to the weight of the board when lifting into place or removing, as slippery urethane finish made it tough to hold otherwise.
2nd Note: The key to getting a support edge for the butcher-block on the Farm Sink is to have the granite installers measure to the center of the top edge of the farm sink, so that half of the top edge holds the granite, and the other half of the top edge holds the butcher block laundry board. By and large, most all granite installers will always cover the edge of any sink, so you need to specify exactly half, and explain why you need it that way.
