Serene, peaceful, calm and relaxing are the words that come to mind in this master bedroom suite. In a master bedroom like this, you can't wait to come home and retreat to your personal spa bedroom to escape from the rest of the world. One wall is covered with beautiful pinch-pleated drapery panels with attached pinch-pleated sculpted valances, trimmed in elegant fringe. By covering the entire wall with drapery panels the windows appear to cover the entire wall when the draperies are open. The room is adorned with regal tall bedside lamps, perfect for relaxing in bed and reading a good book. The graceful lines of the bedroom are further enhanced by the grandeur of the walnut-stained sleigh-bed. A soft and comfy reading chair and floor lamp are so inviting. A collaborative project with an Annapolis architect firm, the design team came to us with two main priorities for this project: first, preserve their majestic waterfront views and second, create comfortable rooms to entertain their family and guests.

Motorized traversing panels in the second floor bedrooms stack off the windows to expose the scenic waterfront, and when closed, darken the rooms for peaceful sleeping. A stage coach valance in a casual stripe pattern, complete with nautical rope ties, provides a fun finish to the well appointed grandchild’s room. Familiar family heirloom furniture pieces were updated and upholstered with welcoming fabrics. Seat cushions and pillows for the rotunda’s custom bench create a cozy place to sit, relax and read a book.

Furniture style is rich. Arch top Armoire in French style with raised panel doors. Decorative frame of mirror over triple dresser adds variety and interest. Outline Quilting on king size pillow shams. Large square quilt pattern on coverlet. Country French bedroom. Heavily carved Kingsize Bed with Headboard and Footboard. Custom fabric selection for window treatments, coverlet, throw pillows and chair. Charles Faudre fabrics.
