Introduced to the homeowners through the wife’s parents, we updated and expanded the home to create modern, clean spaces for the family. This kitchen, designed by Mel Elion, is on display in Bilotta’s Mamaroneck showroom, their headquarters since 1985. It features an inset cabinet in a white paint except for the bar area which is cherry with a stain. The cabinetry is all by Signature Custom Cabinetry. The backsplash is by Artistic Tile – their Coltrane Cream Jazz Glass on the range and sink wall and Foliage Mosaic in Coltrane Cream for the bar area. Perimeter countertops are Taj Mahal and the island is Brazilian Cherry. The sink and faucet are by Franke and appliances are by Viking and Viking Pro. Appliances Installed! We finally have a functional kitchen again. Last week I plumbed the kitchen sink and the guys came to install the range, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Although I planned on installing the appliances myself, I finally conceded the fact that I could not get the 500lb range into the kitchen alone. The price wasn't too bad and it was nice watching someone else work for a few minutes. Broke in the griddle with bacon and eggs for the family on a lazy Saturday morning...followed by a pot of gumbo on a cold afternoon.
