Small elegant galley carpeted and green floor wet bar photo with an undermount sink, glass-front cabinets, medium tone wood cabinets and granite countertops

Upstairs, we expanded a tiny hall bathroom into adjacent closet space to provide a roomier and more accommodating bathroom for this growing family with young children. The added space allowed for a full-sized vanity with six functional drawers. Reclaimed wood shelves provide plenty of cubby storage, keeping linens and toiletries within easy reach. We incorporated a ledge wall behind the vanity – the tiled surface is durable, easy to maintain and ideal for this high-use wet zone. The graphic floor tiles, mid-century style vanity, modern stacked subway tile, and black and gold accessories tie in perfectly with the rest of the home’s Scandinavian/Mid-mod style.

The addition of a carriage house and terraces turned this backyard into a dream entertaining space. The carriage house features a one-car garage with additional storage, a bonus room with wet bar, and a covered seating area overlooking the patios. The once inaccessible backyard transformed into a dining terrace and firepit seating terrace that flow seamlessly from the main house all the way up to the carriage house. Versatility through multi-zone, covered and uncovered, indoor and outdoor space serves for entertainment all year long for this wonderful family.

In this photo we see the Master Bath and Master shower which are independent zone of audio tied into the upper unit Home Automation system. In the shower we used Boat speakers from a local Marine shop that were rated to get wet.

Spacious mudroom for the kids to kick off their muddy boots or snowy wet clothes. The 10' tall cabinets are reclaimed barn wood and have metal mesh to allow for air flow and drying of clothes.

The secondary bathroom viewed through its pocket door shows the full layout: patterned cement tile floor, sage green vertical tile walls, white vanity with polished brass fixtures and the shower enclosure beyond. The pocket door saves hallway clearance while the patterned floor tile carries the geometric motif from the shower niche across the full floor, creating continuity between the wet and dry zones.

This master bath went from drab to high tech! We took our client's love for the view of the lake behind his home and turned it into a space where the outside could be let in and where the privacy won't be let out. We re configured the space and made a full wet room with large open shower and luxury tub. The vanities were demolished and a floating vanity from Canyon Creek Cabinets was installed. Soothing Waterworks Statuary white marble adorns the walls. A Schluter tileable kerdi drain and A Kohler DTV controls the shower with dual rainshower heads, the Kohler Numi commode does it all by remote as well as the remote controlled electrified glass that frosts and unfrosts at the touch of a button! This bath is as gorgeous as it is serene and functional! In the Entry, we added the same electrified glass into a custom built front door for this home. This new double door now is clear when our homeowner wants to see out and frosted when he doesn't! Design/Remodel by Hatfield Builders & Remodelers | Photography by Versatile Imaging
