Completely remodeled beach house with an open floor plan, beautiful light wood floors and an amazing view of the water. After walking through the entry with the open living room on the right you enter the expanse with the sitting room at the left and the family room to the right. The original double sided fireplace is updated by removing the interior walls and adding a white on white shiplap and brick combination separated by a custom wood mantle the wraps completely around. Continue through the family room to the kitchen with a large island and an amazing dining area. The blue island and the wood ceiling beam add warmth to this white on white coastal design. The shiplap hood with the custom wood band tie the shiplap ceiling and the wood ceiling beam together to complete the design.

A kitchen that was part of a home extension, features custom made cabinetry. The cabinets are painted with Benjamin Moore decorators white and the island is painted in Benjamin Moore hale navy, the counter tops are a Calcutta quartz, and the backsplash is a marble and brass herringbone. The appliances are stainless steel while the hardware and faucets are brass. With Craftsman details throughout the rest of the home, our clients wanted their new kitchen to have transitional elements such as Shaker style doors, a farmhouse sink, warm wood tones, and other timeless features such as a custom hood and natural stone counters. The beautiful Glorious White marble counters have a soft honed finish and the stunning marble backsplash ties everything together to complete the look. The two-toned cabinets pair a rich stained cherry island with soft white perimeter cabinets. Brushed brass accents on the appliances pulls, cabinet hardware, lights and plumbing fixtures add another layer of sophistication. An induction range, dishwasher drawers, undercounter microwave, and four-door smart refrigerator amp up the functionality of this cook’s kitchen.

We love a challenge! The existing small bathroom had a corner toilet and funky gold and white tile. To make the space functional for a family we removed a small bedroom to extend the bathroom, which allows room for a large shower and bathtub. Custom cabinetry is tucked into the ceiling slope to allow for towel storage. The dark green cabinetry is offset by a traditional gray and white wallpaper which brings contrast to this unique bathroom. Partial kitchen remodel to replace and reconfigure upper cabinets, full-height cabinetry, island, and backsplash. The redesign includes design of custom cabinetry, and finish selections. Full bathroom gut and redesign with floor plan changes. Removal of the existing bedroom to create a larger bathroom. Mary Prince Photography // This fully renovated 110 year home is located in downtown Andover. This home was formerly a dorm for Phillips Academy, and unfortunately had been completely stripped of all of its interior molding and details as it was converted to house more students over the years. We took this home down to the exterior masonry block shell, and rebuilt a new home within the existing structure. After rebuilding the original footprint of most of the rooms, we then added all the traditional elements one would have hoped to find inside this magnificent home.

We used the window wall to build a china cabinet for much needed storage. We used Dove White by Ben Moore, and Painted the insides in a navy blue to add some depth. We used an oversized glass drop crystal chandelier with brass tones, and repeated the brass with the acrylic/brass pulls in the china cabinets. Wall coverings by Schumacher on upper portion of walls

We renovated this kitchen adding a beautiful decorative hood that's black and gold over a stainless steel stove. The matte black faucet and pulls on the shaker cabinets and drawers bring the design together. We used quartz for the countertops and ceramic subway tile for the backsplash. We added a pop of color, green, on the bottom cabinets and white on the top cabinets.

The homeowner of this new build came to us for help with the design of their new home. They wanted a more contemporary look than what they're used to. The large island is a great gathering point with in the open concept of the dining/kitchen/living space. Using two different colors of quartz countertops added contrast that highlights the marble backsplash. The backsplash adds texture and richness to the space. Shaker style cabinets help modernize the space with the clean lines. Function was key to this kitchen working with utensil pullouts, spice racks, rollouts, hidden storage and a knife block. Design Connection, Inc. Kansas City interior designer provided space planning, architectural drawings, barstools, tile, plumbing fixtures, countertops, cabinets and hardware, lighting, paint colors, coordination with the builder and project management to ensure that the high standards of Design Connection, Inc. were maintained.
