“I worked with Cooter Ramsey to design a beach house we are going to build on Harbor Island in SC; at a reasonable cost. If we designed from scratch the cost would have been much higher. I had looked into buying stock plans online but those actually ended up being more and I didn't have opportunity to customize or work with a great architect with experience designing houses- that have actually been built on these Islands. We used one of their stock plans as a place to start: "The Bradley", Cooter assisted with a significant modification to meet my needs. We inverted the floor plan to take advantage of the sunset views and the nesting birds in the rookery; with beautiful decks; In addition, to optimizing the views, he also focused on preserving the natural habitat for the nesting birds - Cooter was able to maximize the space -and provide two master suites since my sister and I will be living there together and a total of 5 bedrooms (lot of family to visit); In addition, he was able to keep the plan comfortable and functional. The architectural review committee on the Island has strict requirements which he was mindful of- so we don't need to do major adjustment when applying for permits. As a woman, I was very happy working with Cooter; I felt respected and he listened to my thoughts and ideas, gave suggestions that were appropriate and would be practical and money saving for construction costs. Cooter did an awesome job with the final product. We did all our meetings virtually since I am 14 hours away and that allowed for flexibility to accommodate my busy work schedule. I am excited to see the finished product; this is the first big hurdle taking on a huge project! I loved seeing the final design and especially seeing the 3D versions they were able to create- it really brings the whole thing to life; as I am a very visual person. I also appreciated his patience with me since my work schedule is very demanding and I like to think thing through step by step! Thank you, Cooter for the great design!”

“Our home was completed in Oldfield ahead of schedule and below budget. FL committed to getting our house done before year-end and when our circumstances changed and we needed to move a few weeks sooner, they quickly accommodated our schedule and finished a month ahead of time. We’ve been in almost two months now and we certainly haven’t seen any lapses in quality for finishing quickly. FL was very ready to make adjustments we asked for in our home including reconfiguring much of the second floor, closing in a portion of the screened in porch to make an office, adding shelving in the garage and adding a closet and pantry space. The work is first rate and they are quick to make adjustments on the fly or fixes for minor issues as needed. Craig and his team are incredibly responsive and have offered advice and guidance with finding additional services in town (e.g., landscapers, plumbers, etc).
