“I have worked with Bill since 2011 on various architecture and interior design photoshoots. The largest project was a 90,000 square foot school in Salem and the smallest project was a Cuban restaurant in Roanoke’s downtown market building. We have used his photography for growing our company’s online portfolio, award submittals, and magazine publications – all of which has helped to market and grow our business. The qualities in Bill that I appreciate as a designer are: 1) He works patiently to understand the shots that we want, taking multiple shots at different light levels. And he doesn’t mind letting us look over his shoulder which is important to us. 2) He “goes with the flow”. We have had all day photoshoots with hours break in between day and nighttime shots. He has travelled up to three hours away to Richmond to photograph one of our projects. He makes himself available, even on short notice, to fit our busy schedule which limits our out of office time. 3) Bill comes equipped to get the right shots. He has an expansive toolbox that he carries on hand in case it’s needed. From pole extensions, to tethered laptops and now I hear drones – Bill stays current with up-to-date equipment and techniques. 4) His turnaround time is reliable and he has the necessary post-touch up skills to enhance any of our photos with color, fireplace flames, TV screen stills, etc. Bill adapts to our range and sizes of projects, from residential to commercial. As he has grown to understand our company’s specialty, he has sent us referrals for clients where he saw a mutual fit. Being from Roanoke, he has also helped us network and make personal connections.
