“While I was researching exterior paint ideas for our home back in 2018, I came across Lankford Associates which had done a beautiful landscaping project for a home exterior that I saved. What really caught my interest is that he is in the same little town where I live. Well, eight years later, our backyard had become a disaster zone. The trees and vegetation had become overgrown and the backyard was no longer the sanctuary we needed. Remembering Lankford Associates, I contacted Scott Lankford and asked if he would be willing to give us some ideas and guidance. Scott came to our home and "interviewing" us as to what we our wishes were and the types of activity we enjoy in the backyard. Then he walked the backyard and freehand sketched a plan to meet our needs, incorporating the best of what we already had and clean slate the rest. He gave us the option take on the project ourselves from his hand sketch or hire his firm to develop formal drawings for landscape contractor companies to work from. He also gave us recommendations if we needed to do the project in phases to minimize the initial cost. Scott also gave us the option to hire him as "Project Manager", submitting request for bids from landscape contractors he had worked with, reviewing bids and once chosen, working with the contractor to ensure the work was completed per the specifications. We received four bids and chose the one we thought would work best for us. The landscape contractor and his team took three weeks to transform our backyard into the private sanctuary that far exceeded our dreams. Thank you Scott, Tony and DC.”
