We just moved into a new house of our very own but have run into a big problem. When I bought the house, I loved the laminate hardwood flooring already installed. It looked immaculate. Unfortunately it is very soft and scratches easily. It also shows scratches where the light hits it. We have two Australian Shepherds that live inside and despite keeping their nails trimmed down we are already seeing major signs of damage. (Only been here for about 60 days now!) This is NOT pretty at all so I want to replace the floor with something attractive but more durable. I've read several different opinions online but would like to hear from someone who maybe has active animals and a hardwood (or laminate hardwood) flooring. A type/brand recommendation would be great. Getting rid of the dogs is not an option but replacing the living room floor is one! Suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)
