I find that the pantry will create a lot of inefficiencies in the counter top layout. By relocating the island, you may be able to align a butler's pantry or an appliance garage. Feel free to contact me if you want to see alternative designs.

If it were me, I would have the pantry next to the refrigerator on the outside of the main work area. The corner one will break up the sight lines and the work area.

I agree with Aunthelma. You could cut into the foyer slightly and use the space beside the refrigerator.

I agree with the poster who said to put the pantry near the refrigerator. Put in a lazy susan where the pantry is supposed to go(like appliance garage too), this will take up less space than the pantry. Then have everything on that wall pushed down, and put your pantry at the end of the wall(will not have to take foyer space).

You might want to consider only 3 seats at the island. I like how you are handling your business with these postings - smart!

This kitchen has a corner pantry and I know my client loves it. You can walk in and easily get what you need and it has tons of storage. I have never heard my client complain that it breaks up her kitchen.

If you remove the corner pantry you will end up with cabinets in the corner and a big deep corner which becomes dead space. Not a fan of those corners in kitchens

Check your breakfast nook measurements. I'm not sure you can fit a table in that space and have enough room to walk around it and out the sliding door.

Hi Emily I totally agree, other comments suggested I enlarge the island etc. The nook will not be used as indicated, as there is a dining area behind the island and stools.

In the corner you can add an appliance garage, to help keep your countertops free. I think that your island needs to be shortened by one seat.

I love a corner pantry... I find there to be a good bit of wasted space that's hard to use in corner cabinets that will go there otherwise. Some people even cut out the corner to make the cabinets easier to get into. A corner pantry is a great solution that offers much more storage than any amount of cabinets put into a corner could.

If you take it out, you'll get some more counter space, though again, corner counter space with upper cabinets above is hard to use... You can probably cut back the countertop to the left of your range near the door to the master bedroom and add quite a large counter depth pantry.

P House I'm trying to locate the plans with the size of my client's walk-in pantry, It looks to me as if it's about the same size. But I'll confirm and get back in touch.
