Yes Pamela. There are many ways to antique or stress things to make them appear old. Pictures would help provide possible options you could look at. But to answer the question, yes there are products that you can use to apply on top of previous finishes. On the projects I have antiqued furniture pieces and trim work I have used glazes, chalks, and stains. It all depends on what you wanting it come out as. Use brushes though to do the work as wiping anything on will not be able to produce the desired look in most instances.

What part of the world are you in. I am in western Canada so if you are in the USA most products are labelled differently for the same product often. Go to your nearest paint store and ask what they have for antiquing glaze. Depending on your desired colour you are looking to achieve you may need to apply a base coat to the cabinets first. You will likely want to use a mid-tone glaze colour with white or cream coloured base. Benjamin Moore, PPG Paints, California Paints, Most of the major companies will sell the antique glazes. You will want to use a waterborne product (latex based)
