interior trim that does not have to be painted or stained

I am wondering if there is such a thing as plastic mill work that can be used in a home's interior. We love white painted woodwork, but with cold winters, we don't like the painting upkeep.

Yes, you can get white PVC trim that is solid white all the way through. No painting needed, even if you have an end showing. Comes in various styles. Any home depot.

UGH. : ( ! The entire Northeast USA has cold winters. Will be 14 degrees here tomorrow. I know nobody panicking about some minor shrink in trim/caulk.......or grabbing a paint brush. Control the humidity factor in your home with good HVAC .

Painted and stained millwork are two very different things relative to the look and feel of a home. .......... humidity is the least of that decision..

Every place you put a nail in pvc moulding it mushrooms, the nail has to be set, filled and sanded. And then painted.
