Reward Flooring anyone? - Engineered hardwoods

Anyone used these? There are several that I like but I can't find ANY reviews! I'm looking at a couple in the Costa collection. They seem like good quality and great colors. I need to do almost a whole house so I want to be sure it's something good! I've seen a couple mentions in here but mostly people asking like I am... Thanks!

@S L . I like Luna. Do you have any pics of your floor? I just saw it, it looks beautiful!

@Jan Donovan, yes I posted some pics on this thread a few months ago! I took some more pics just now. After having the floors for a few months, I would say the color has undertones of golden, grey, brown, and a hint of pink.

@S L It looks really nice. Are you still happy with it?

@Jan Donovan yes, we love our floors! I recommend getting some samples to test out in your own home. Then you can pick which one you like best, then order a full box to test several planks before committing to the full square footage :)

@Jan Donovan here’s one more picture of how the floors look under our 3000K lights

We installed Ancona in our house and absolutely love it. We originally wanted Anzio and learned that Ancona replaced it. We considered Luna but I’m very happy with how the Ancona turned out! It does photograph a bit darker than it is in person. It looks more like how Luna is photographed in the picture above, a bit warmer.

@Amanda B looks great. What is your decorating style? mine is Modern, just wondering if floor would go with modern furniture etc

We finally had the Elba installed and moved in Thursday! The floor looks great (I'll try to post pictures later) but we still have lots of workmen coming and wow, do these floors get visibly dirty. I'm anxious to get a mop to see how hard they are to clean as well as keep clean. Per Reward's website, Bona is recommended so that's what we're getting.

Has anyone installed Reward flooring roadhouse collection which is their Maple line? I'd love feedback before moving forward on this...

This is a great discussion on Reward Floors. It sounds like most people like them - especially the colors and looks -- the question I have is ARE THEY HOLDING UP? Would love to know your experience in real life.

    Thanks!

It’s been a little over a year since we replaced our whole house with Reward Anzio. We have a Great Dane and a teenager and I’m pleased to say the floors are holding up really well.

@Chris S Any chance you went with the Sereno Pavone?

We are looking at the mill creek floor for our ranch house. Has anyone used this?

We installed the Anacona on our entire main floor and they are gorgeous. I like the knots. Our home is coastal. I wanted a light/mid greige and got it. It goes with our quartize that has gold as well as some gray pieces. Itreally is versatile. Our house is white on white so I wanted warmth but contemporay. I personally don't care for the planks without knots.

Yes, we sold and installed a couple of Mill Creek floor projects in the past years. It is a high-quality collection by Reward.

Here are a few pictures of another Mill City collection that we sold and installed quite often. People love the hand-sawn marks with natural Woca penetration oil finish. Hope these installed pictures can help you envision how this style of floor will look in your own house.

@jeanennemorphis thank you so much for uploading these!!! i was considering Ancona, but im also considering Leone and then another brand Monarch Plank Lago Como. do you have any other pics you wouldnt mind sharing?

To all: Looking for guidance. My home had a flood so its a forced remodel of the flooring and i dont have an eye for design. Trying to decide between these 3 (light, medium and dark) (lago como, reward leone, reward ancona). Its a townhome and the kitchen is very hard to match since my taste is different from the kitchen, so i may end up redoing the kitchen with white cabinets and quartzite, but this is what i have for now so i am hoping whatever i pick will work. Has anyone used Costa Leone? If u do reno the kitchen, ive included the materials i would use, but im not sure if ill do the reno or not.

Has anyone used the Costa Collection Vela hardwood floors?

Was Volpe discontinued? I don't see it on the Reward site anymore.

Vela is a newer sku. Volpe has been discontinued for a while.

We installed Reward Flooring Roadhouse Collection, color: Maple Buckeye about 6 mths ago and LOVE it! Love the Matt finish and the maple wood, is stained beautifully and evenly. As with any project I do, I ordered a sample box to be sure color just right then ordered 20%+ extra over my needed square footage as an allowance so I didn't have to use any pieces that weren't quite right...especially if you have a lot of wide open areas.

Beautiful maple floor! Thanks for sharing your wood flooring experiences. Ordering a box before purchase and more percentage are good ways to avoid disappointment.

@jeanne Haid it looks like that plank is next to a dishwasher - are the other planks next to water? Maybe they’re getting too much water dripped on them?

@SL @S L yes- that may be a contrubiuting factor but there are other planks that also appear to be wearing - not under the sink The veneer appears to be very thin. i would not buy this product and dont recommend it

Loved the family so we bought a box and it’s a biiiiig no for us 👎

@parisa_marashi What color/name is that flooring?

I have Reward Costa Testa. It immediately began cupping all over my house and replacing it would be a nightmare because we would have to basucally move out. It can’t be sanded enough to remove the cupped edges and it‘s a toxic process to stain and finish it with the UV finish so we are stuck. Very, very, unhappy. I’ve now got flooring guys telling me that the 4mm wear layer is thin…made a huge mistake choosing this product. Also, it looks nothing like the sample on the website. Theres a ton of very white areas which also were not represented on the sample boards I borrowed. The white lines in the third photo are the lifted edges.

Do they know why they did this? Maybe humiditiy?

    last modified: 2 years ago

Have you checked humidity in the house, we had the same issue with ours right away but I was running a whole house humidifier in the winter. I shut it off and they got better.

    last modified: 2 years ago

@parisa I also bought a box for my main house and somehow it was a bit different than the sample I got from the store. Given the expensive prices for the 4mm wear layer, I expected more. We finally settle with the Medieval Floors Natural Summery 4mm at a much cheaper price and nicer quality.

Has anyone had experience with their Urbano or Terreno lines. We are considering lighter and more modern finishes, and these two seem to match the style the most. I am surprised to see such mixed reviews on this forum - wondering if there is any quality difference between the lines? Would love feedback from homeowners who have installed Urbano or Terreno.

I, too, and considering Urbano or Terreno for a whole house remodel. Would love to hear from anyone who has installed. Big decision!

Would like to read more about Sandy K post. Whats underneath the floor, basement? slab? crawl space?

I’m also interested in anyone’s experience with the Urbano and Terreno lines. Particularly in terms of number and size of knots and the degree of color variation between boards. We are remodeling a modern home but don’t mind a few knots if they are small and sparse…or blend in well. Seems like some of the finishes within each line may be more consistent than others.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Costa Collection from Reward Flooring ? Will be replacing a kitchen and dinning room floor

I have the Reward Flooring Costa Collection Rustic Grade European Oak Vela. We like it so far we have had it s year. My only complaint is a couple boards were a little more rustic imperfections than I like. (Pictures attached)
The floor was installed in a new house by the builder thus the installer placed the boards with lines in it in front of my refrigerator and the one with the dark spot near my island. I had a independent hardwood guy out and he said the floor is a very good floor he installs it a lot but had his company installed it he would have placed boards like that by the wall where they aren’t seen as much. If you can oversee the install I would say this is a good medium color wood floor.

Has anyone used Reward Flooring Mill Creek - Woodson? This would be going in a Mediterranean style home. We are wanting an old world / reclaimed feel and I'm wondering if this floor will help achieve that look.

I am also looking for information on the turrbano line from reward flooring. anyone have any experience?

Has anyone used reward flooring / sereno collection in white oak delfini?

  • last year

I know this is a very late reply but maybe it’ll help someone looking to buy Reward Flooring. Dont Buy it! We had the Terreno line installed (about 3500sqft). Purchased 1 box to get a better idea of the quality and color. looked good so we ordered it. Somehow we got a decent box. The floor has wood putty/filler throughout the planks. its rare to see any plank with ”natural” blemishes you would expect from a rough saw line.. It’s easy to find planks that had long fractures and filled or knots that popped out and were filled in with putty. It’s everywhere. We purchased a couple of extra boxes for backup and they have planks filled with putty. I would estimate 35-40% of the planks have filler. Haven’t seen so much putty since Jr High wood shop. It was‘nt till post install that I learned the floors are produced in China. Very poor quality. I suggest you look for a different brand based on our experience. Reward Flooring is horrible.

  • last year

@HU-110547914 Unfortunately, the store that you purchased this flooring from needed to set realistic expectations with you before ordering. The Terreno Collection is going to have a good amount of character - both closed knots and open knots with filler. Reward even classifies Terreno as "Rustic" grade, so there was definitely a breakdown in communication at some point in your purchasing process.

  • last year

DO NOT BUY REWARD URBANO GENOA if you are looking for minimum variation and knots. I feel like we got all the reject planks in the lot we received. Lots of color and grain variation, and as @HU-110547914 mentioned, more than half the planks have large knots filled with filler that makes planks look damaged. The worst thing about the flooring are the long dark streaks that look like dirty shoes prints or tire streaks that make the floors looks constantly dirty.

    @Amanda B @jeanennemorphis

I have been considering Ancona in my home. But it has been difficult to get a sense of the flooring color. The sample shows one color but the online software shows something entirely different. I am not sure which one to trust.

Since you have the flooring installed, would you be able to advise on this please. How are the floors holding up?

    I am attaching some pictures.

    Middle sample is Ancona

Picture from the software. This looks very gray to me.

I was expecting it to be more like this but with knots. May be even slightly lighter than this. This is Amalfi from the Urbano collection.

    Please help

Our floors look more like the last photo. I pulled out a few really dark planks and did not use them. We live in a moderately humid coastal area in California. They are 3 years old and holding up great. So much of it is about installation. We had our subfloors evened and prepped and the installer went to great lengths on the method used. I love the color. But they do vary in the boxes. None of them were extremely light. Some went dark. I would order a box and put them in the room before you pull the trigger. Just lay them out on the floor. My first purchase was another brand and the boards were yellow, the knots caramel brown. Super ugly. I sent them back and bought the Anacona.

Thanks @Jeanenne Morphis. Could you share more photos here that shows the flooring in different light settings.
