Early Girl not turning red.

I have grown these for 34 years and have had no problems. Now they gotten to the light orange stage and seem to be stuck there. We have had crazy weather. One week it's in the 90's then the next it is in the low 60's overcast and cloudy. I am on the Central Coast CA and have lots of fog in the morning. That may delay ripening but not stop it. Is it the soil or watering too much?

It's your patience wearing thin :). You could pick some at the light orange stage and bring them inside to see if it makes any difference. It would be an interesting experiment!

Once they break color, they are done getting any nutrition from the plant so I would pick at least a few to take in to see!
