What color would you paint this mantle?

This is a master bedroom. What color would you paint this mantle?

We are considering painting it the same green as the wall, but in a more glossy sheen. We also debated over a medium grey (like concrete color) to pick up greys from the tile or white to match the baseboards.

The green is SW Isle of Pines, the adjacent walls are SW Greek villa. The baseboards and ceiling are SW Extra white. Bedroom furniture is a grey weathered wood.

I'd paint it the same white as your baseboard. Extra White. anything warmer looks dingy next to the stone.

I wouldn't do a gray because you're just adding another color to the mix (and your floors are rather warm, so a cool gray is going to clash, and a warm gray will just look odd)

If you want a dark green, look into Jasper by SW.

you could could try a lighter, cooler green, but I'd prob just stick w/the white.

I also suggest painting that mantle the same shade and sheen as the white baseboard! In my living room, my walls are Classic Silver from Behr and my mantle is the same Ultra White Semi Gloss as the rest of my trim in the house. I love it!

I assume you mean the surround not just the mantle and white for sure but then I hate kelly green so the walls would need to be painted too. Waht si your bedding like that is IMO where you start with wall color choices.

I'm assuming a TV will be installed over the mantel. I have selected a dark gray for the mantel.

Not sure why this Scarlett O'Hara Green Dress color was selected for a bedroom Wall colors are often selected after the rug and the bedding.

If your painting it. I’d do the baseboard white. However I think it would be beautiful if you stripped and sanded it back to wood.

With the upmost respect, I would do away with the green. It's a beautiful shade of green... just not as an accent wall. But, if the green is there to stay, then strip down the mantel to the natural wood or go white. I think the worst possible choice is matching it with the same green or any shade of green. To be fare, I'd say that even if the wall was blue. It'll drown the mantel.

Side note, if you ever list the house, you'll need to do away with the green anyway....

I love dark cozy colors for bedrooms - If you love the green I suggest painting all the walls /ceiling and fireplace/ baseboards the same deep color
