no - just wind up with soapy clothes. Why do you want to skip the rinse cycle?

My GE GNW128SSMWW washer has a "wash only" cycle. But the user manual recommends running the washer monthly using its "deep fill" option and 1/2 cup of bleach "to control the rate at which soils and detergents may accumulate in your washer".

Thanks for the replies! My cold water line has a clog somewhere and it takes way too long to fill. So, until until I can afford to get it fixed I am skipping the rinse cycle to save time.

Tell me about your cold water line clog. Often, washer supply lines have filters. Maybe your filter needs cleaning?

Can you bucket fill your washer?

How much does it cost to fix it?

Manually set the timer to run another wash period as your rinse, then skip over to the final spin.

Or as suggested above, check for a clogged debris screen on the hose at the cold faucet, and at the cold connection on the machine's inlet valve.

Absolutely do not skip rinsing your load. Besides issues with your clothes you can have issues with your skin.

Tide advertising when it was introduced in the 1940s and 1950s touted it for rinsing being optional for both clothes and other household uses such as washing dishes ... it was a newfangled synthetic detergent that didn't produce "soap scum" clinging to the clothes. Wash dishes, dry them without rinsing and leave detegent residue on the surface to mix with your morning coffee. Hmmm and yummm.

I have been skipping the rinse cycle for a while now and there has been NO problems with soapy clothes or itchy skin whatsoever. Also, I am pretty sure it IS a clogged filter like you say, but I am physically handicapped and cannot move the washer to check. I always use a repairman these days and I am fairly certain that the cost will be minimal. And, now that Covid is dying down I will not feel nervous about having my repair guy come here when I get my next disability check.

So far. But don't be surprised if you end up with a problem in the future if you become sensitized to an ingredient in the detergent because of repeated/ ongoing exposure.
