We broke up the monotony of the mismatched wood by painting the cabinets white (Benjamin Moore oil based paint and Kilz oil based primer). https://youtu.be/gkXM4BrxL-Y We added some plug in LED undercabinet lights. The recessed lights were low-voltage and could not be upgraded, but the client was able to add a track light. We pointed this towards the white cabinets to bounce off the light. The bare wall had a lot of imperfections and still lacked the magic touch. We had about $100 left.

We love texture and dimension so what we did here was add a purple tint to the room by using the white picket tiles on the walls and led lighting to sort of bounce that color off those walls and add the slightest hue to the room. The stone look tile starts on the walls and ends in its mosaic form on the floor while the space in between gives it walk space to go from the tub, to the shower.
