The new design expanded the footprint of the home to 1,271 square feet for the first level and 1,156 for the new second level. A new entry with a quarter turn stair leads you into the original living space. The old guest bedroom that was once accessed through the dining room is now connected to the front living space by pocket doors. The new open concept creates a continuous flow from the living space through the dining into the kitchen. The new bright, crisp kitchen features CaesarStone counters and white cabinets. a 1916 Craftsman in Oakland, CA gets new life. A complete overhaul of the original space while preserving all of the original detail in the casework and flooring. Overhead lighting (LED!) enhances the homeowners beautiful art collection, custom sized furniture provides increased seating and loads of texture and warmth, reducing any clutter. The kitchen was aligned with Custom Cabinets in a Chocolate Pearl Finish, and new shaker style doors were installed. The upgraded Can Lighting on the Caesar Lime Stone and slate back splash accent the beautiful Quartz counter tops. The walls are lined with Chair rail molding and two tone paint. To add some warmth and further accent the Cape Cod Style throughout the kitchen, we installed "Wood Look Alike" ceramic tile flooring throughout.
