Love this back kitchen, situated right behind the "main" kitchen. The gorgeous brick was picked after the granite countertops and what a lovely contrast they present to the Copenhagen granite. Love the open shelves, small prep sink and all the storage cabinets and work space. The hardwood flooring extends into this back kitchen, contributing to the warm look of the room and the practicality of the overall design.

Perhaps the most modern element of this bath is the sleek and gray corner shower. The chrome fixutres and horizontal gray tiles both contribute to the modern feel of this element, and the glass door and glass enclosure make this easily view able throughout all parts of the bathroom. The glass enclosure also makes this space feel larger since there are few obstructions blocking the view of this whole contemporary bathroom design.

A complete remodel of a 70s-era home re-imagines its original post-modern architecture. The new design emphasizes details such as a phoenix motif (significant to the family) that appears on a fountain as well as at the living room fireplace surround, both designed by the firm. Mahogany paneling, stone and walnut flooring, elaborate ceiling treatments, steel picture windows that frame panoramic views, and carved limestone window surrounds contribute new texture and character.

This house is ideally located in the woods, backing up to the Cambridge reservoir in Waltham. But the beautiful views and secluded outdoor spaces could not compensate for the 1970’s interiors, particularly the master bathroom and kitchen, which lacked distinction and needed to be updated. Black River Architects reorganized and totally renovated the master bathroom, creating a dramatic bathing alcove which contributes light and custom craftsmanship to the rest of the master suite.

The Devon's laundry room is a clean and modern space that optimizes ease and comfort. A side-by-side design for the modern washer and dryer allows for ample space and an optimized laundry process. Plenty of built-in storage as well as countertop space further contributes to a well-designed room.

Located in the area of Malinova Dolina, the dwellings are designed to be part of nature and the surrounding environment. This is why the natural materials used in their construction - natural stone and silicate plaster - contribute to this. The enormous mirror glasses of the dwellings reflect the surrounding green environment, designing it on their facade, thus making the buildings part of it.

This 4 bedroom (2 en suite), 4.5 bath home features vertical board–formed concrete expressed both outside and inside, complemented by exposed structural steel, Western Red Cedar siding, gray stucco, and hot rolled steel soffits. An outdoor patio features a covered dining area and fire pit. Hydronically heated with a supplemental forced air system; a see-through fireplace between dining and great room; Henrybuilt cabinetry throughout; and, a beautiful staircase by MILK Design (Chicago). The owner contributed to many interior design details, including tile selection and layout.
