A large window of edged glass brings in diffused light without sacrificing privacy. Two tall medicine cabinets hover in front are actually hung from the header. Location: New York, NY, United States This Loft was tastefully renovated back in the '90s, but was due for an update and an expansion of the kitchen and dining areas to accommodate the client's cooking skills and entertaining needs. EnlargIing the island and adding cabinetry to delineate the office, bar and dining areas was a priority. The bathroom was updated to feel like a tranquil spa with beautiful new tile, plumbing fixtures and cabinets. Bathroom - traditional bathroom idea

Storage never looked so attractive with this customized mudroom. The space incorporates a broom cabinet, coat and shoe storage and seating. Because this kitchen entrance is a high-traffic area, tile that mimics the color of the cabinetry was used underneath the bench area - a more practical option than wood. Heart pine floors were also sourced to match the original flooring throughout the house.

This custom louvered roof system creates a comfortable retreat in the homeowner's backyard. The shade control afforded by the adjustable louvers is an essential element in providing an idylliic outdoor living space no matter the weather. The addition of a firepit and cozy lighting allow for this space to be used at all times of day.
