This blue and white sunroom, adjacent to a dining area, occupies a large enclosed porch. The home was newly constructed to feel like it had stood for centuries. The dining porch, which is fully enclosed was built to look like a once open porch area, complete with clapboard walls to mimic the exterior. We filled the space with French and Swedish antiques, like the daybed which serves as a sofa, and the marble topped table with brass gallery. The natural patina of the pieces was duplicated in the light fixtures with blue verdigris and brass detail, custom designed by Alexandra Rae, Los Angeles, fabricated by Charles Edwardes, London. Motorized grass shades, sisal rugs and limstone floors keep the space fresh and casual despite the pedigree of the pieces. All fabrics are by Schumacher.

Perched on a forested hillside, this modern mountain home embraces its natural setting with a bold, multi-level design that enhances both form and function. The aerial perspective highlights a sweeping circular driveway, layered retaining walls, and a dramatic integration of architecture and landscape. Outdoor living is maximized across multiple elevations—from the elevated covered deck with a built-in grill and lounge seating to the lower-level hot tub patio and secluded fire pit nestled into a terraced garden. Drought-tolerant plantings, ornamental grasses, and native evergreens soften the concrete structures and bring year-round texture and color. This design is a striking example of how thoughtful grading, durable materials, and mountain-modern aesthetics can create a cohesive, low-maintenance retreat that blends effortlessly into Colorado’s rugged terrain.

This kids' bathroom is a refreshing departure from the moody tones of the main lounge, embracing a bright Coastal Glam aesthetic that feels clean, airy, and sophisticated. It’s a perfect example of Transitional design, blending the classic appeal of a historic home with modern, upscale finishes that grow with the family. The space features a stunning soft blue vanity (or crisp white depending on the lighting) with elegant gold hardware and a pristine white quartz countertop. The "glam" is brought to life through a scalloped gold mirror and matching brass vanity sconces, while the "coastal" vibe is reinforced by high-texture elements like vertical shiplap or unique architectural molding and a subtle, watery tile palette in the shower.

Every detail was accounted floor when planning this custom hickory kitchen, which embraces an aesthetic that harkens back to the past with a touch of modern (hexagonal tiles, for example). From a little cubby to hide the toaster to reclaiming the deep window sills to make them part of the countertops, no storage opportunity went unexplored. This kitchen is open to the dining room, creating one large entertaining space. When the walls separating the kitchen and the dining room came down, we saved the picture frame moulding and it was reused on the focal wall of the kitchen to highlight a brand new custom designed stained glass window. This window was inspired by a trip to the Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona. The colors are highlighted by glasses stored in the adjacent glass-front cabinet, which is illuminated with perimeter LED's tucked just inside the glass door.

Inspiration for a contemporary exterior home remodel in Los Angeles
