This lovely kitchen on the ocean was created with custom Grabill cabinets, a black island, white cabinets, hanging glass pendants, with a wine bar. Near-black dark brown Kodiac granite countertops that have a forgiving leathered surface were used as well as Brown Fantasy granite for the center island. Dan Cutrona

We added crown molding and installed a light valance under dated cabinets and added a 96" pantry cabinet. North Florida Quality Painting painted the cabinets and walls. Please forgive the photos of walls not finished.

The floor is a beautiful cross cut limestone in a soft grey/taupe. The 12” x 24” tile is laid in a modified herringbone pattern with minimal grout lines. This pattern gives just the right amount of movement to ground the space and be very forgiving for the most active area of the home. It blended beautifully with the newly refinished floors in the adjacent rooms.

Potter Homes and their team of carpenters create the intersecting ceiling beams and use a CNC machine to custom design and mill the curvilinear segments. Mounted to the whitewashed brick fireplace is a 150-year-old barn-wood mantle. Resting in front of the television are two custom Vanguard chairs with a textured blue fabric on the back. “These chairs bring in color and interest,
but the seat itself is in a performance fabric — everything has an elegance, but is very forgiving,” expresses Thies.

This large, lovely white leather sleeper sectional really brightens up the entire living room! White leather is very forgiving as far as cleaning, and the solid and blue tapestry throw pillows, pale blue linen drapes, and printed area rug are a wonderful contrast to the rustic storage coffee table and iron base lamps.
