The front includes a serene and impressive atrium foyer with two-story floor to ceiling glass walls and multi-level fire/water fountains on either side of the grand bronze aluminum pivot entry door. Elegant extra-large 47'' imported white porcelain tile runs seamlessly to the rear exterior pool deck, and a dark stained oak wood is found on the stairway treads and second floor. The goal for the foyer was to deliver a true “wow factor” the moment you step through the door. We selected a bold tropical-inspired wallpaper that set the tone for the home—fun, vibrant, and masculine. This high-energy backdrop was balanced with existing architectural features while introducing key updates for impact. We kept the client’s console table but paired it with a statement mirror that echoes the organic movement of the wallpaper, ensuring cohesion. The chandelier was chosen for its multidimensional glass tones, playing beautifully against the wallpaper and tying together surrounding finishes. A natural jute rug grounds the space, complementing the existing hardwood floors with warmth and texture. The stairs were refreshed with a patterned carpet that coordinates seamlessly with the upstairs hallway. Updated railings—painted posts with stained tops and iron balusters—elevate the overall look. For function, we designed a custom built-in baby gate that blends effortlessly with the updated railings, a perfect solution for a growing family. To extend the design story, the hallway carries coordinating vinyl grasscloth wallpaper, adding depth and texture without overwhelming the space.

Ann Lowengart Interiors took a dated Lafayette Tuscan-inspired villa and transformed it into a timeless Californian ranch. The 5,045 Sq. Ft gated estate sited on 2.8-acres boasts panoramic views of Mt. Diablo, Briones Regional Park, and surrounding hills. Ann Lowengart dressed the modern interiors in a cool color palette punctuated by moody blues and Hermès orange that are casually elegant for a family with tween children and several animals. Unique to the residence is an indigo-walled library complete with a hidden bar for the adults to imbibe in.

Front-yard landscape and gate work for a Banbury-York Mills property completed in 2024. The scope set custom iron gates between stone piers, established a formal hedge line along the perimeter, and rebuilt the driveway and walkways to read as a single composition from curb to entry. Mature trees on the lot guided the planting plan.

The entry courtyard at this colonial style home uses hardy perennials, evergreens, and traditional materials to compliment the traditional style of the house. Avid gardeners, these clients wanted mixed perennial borders with a lot of color. The brick pavers are set in sand making them permeable.
