A large, less restrictive space can sometimes be a challenge to remodel as the possibilities are truly unlimited. The goal was to create a functional and warm space that still felt open, clean and utilized the large space well.
Custom glass panel cabinetry with sliding doors and a central drawer bank features ample storage and even multiple standard outlets inside. Vessel sinks sit atop the custom quartz counters that compliment the stone resin free standing bath.
On the back side of the central wall is a walk in, from both sides, his and hers shower. Custom tile through out ties both sides of this large bath together. The shower features multiple niches.

Many families ponder the idea of adding extra living space for a few years before they are actually ready to remodel. Then, all-of-the sudden, something will happen that makes them realize that they can’t wait any longer. In the case of this remodeling story, it was the snowstorm of 2016 that spurred the homeowners into action. As the family was stuck in the house with nowhere to go, they longed for more space. The parents longed for a getaway spot for themselves that could also double as a hangout area for the kids and their friends. As they considered their options, there was one clear choice…to renovate the detached garage.
The detached garage previously functioned as a workshop and storage room and offered plenty of square footage to create a family room, kitchenette, and full bath. It’s location right beside the outdoor kitchen made it an ideal spot for entertaining and provided an easily accessible bathroom during the summertime. Even the canine family members get to enjoy it as they have their own personal entrance, through a bathroom doggie door.
Our design team listened carefully to our client’s wishes to create a space that had a modern rustic feel and found selections that fit their aesthetic perfectly. To set the tone, Blackstone Oak luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout. The kitchenette area features Maple Shaker style cabinets in a pecan shell stain, Uba Tuba granite countertops, and an eye-catching amber glass and antique bronze pulley sconce. Rather than use just an ordinary door for the bathroom entry, a gorgeous Knotty Alder barn door creates a stunning focal point of the room.
The fantastic selections continue in the full bath. A reclaimed wood double vanity with a gray washed pine finish anchors the room. White, semi-recessed sinks with chrome faucets add some contemporary accents, while the glass and oil-rubbed bronze mini pendant lights are a balance between both rustic and modern. The design called for taking the shower tile to the ceiling and it really paid off. A sliced pebble tile floor in the shower is curbed with Uba Tuba granite, creating a clean line and another accent detail.
The new multi-functional space looks like a natural extension of their home, with its matching exterior lights, new windows, doors, and sliders. And with winter approaching and snow on the way, this family is ready to hunker down and ride out the storm in comfort and warmth. When summer arrives, they have a designated bathroom for outdoor entertaining and a wonderful area for guests to hang out.
It was a pleasure to create this beautiful remodel for our clients and we hope that they continue to enjoy it for many years to come.

This cabinet is only 6" deep and houses all the condiments the homeowner needs for baking. The shallow depth of the cabinet also makes this countertop area more usable. A full depth cabinet in this are would crowd the cook.

A retired couple wanted to make over their den space to support their functional needs, provide more comfortable seating , a lot more storage, new flooring, wall colors and lighting. Since this is their second home, they wanted the design style to be reflective of the Southwest region. This project is proof that small can be beautiful and highly functional with the right design plan in place!!

This kitchen simply wasn’t meeting the needs of a growing young family. The space felt cramped, lacked functionality, and had an outdated look that no longer fit their lifestyle. The transformation is nothing short of stunning!
To create a brighter, more functional kitchen, we installed new Kitchen Solvers Classic Collection cabinets in a beautiful Ginger finish with the timeless Scandia door style. The cabinetry is perfectly complemented by elegant Calacatta Fioressa quartz countertops and a stylish Juniper porcelain backsplash, bringing warmth, character, and lasting beauty to the space.
The result is a kitchen that offers more storage, improved functionality, and a fresh new look the family can enjoy for years to come.

1950’s kitchens need love too... and make great remodels! These homeowners contacted Castle for help on their kitchen remodel. The biggest wish-list item was a larger and more functional kitchen layout (with expanded views into the previously completed rear addition/dining room).
After some conceptual design concepts were assessed, we chose to keep this kitchen's existing footprint and expand the site lines into the rear dining space with a new drywall opening. We expanded the function of the kitchen by wrapping the peninsula around into the dining room with an additional pantry space for kitchen overflow storage. Each cabinet was well thought out for the homeowners use of the space to include functional storage accessories like plate divides, utensil pull-outs, and trash/recycle bins.
Working with the designer, the homeowners found a beautiful balance of some contemporary aesthetics like the overall color scheme combined with some classic elements such as the detailed cabinetry and herringbone tile backsplash. One of our favorite details in the kitchen is the new tile floor that continues into the dining room. The wood texture plank tile adds depth and texture as well as contrasts nicely with the softer and refined finishes above. New Cambria quartz countertops, new cabinetry, herringbone tile backsplash, new tile floors, custom lighting, and new plumbing fixtures complete the space. The new transitional styled kitchen can grow with the family for many years to come. With a swap out of some furniture the whole space can transition between contemporary or traditional. Truly timeless!

These long time clients have a beautiful home and property, but wanted to make their Living Room more functional for their large extended family. When they originally moved into their home, they furnished the space with lovely things from their previous home, but rarely used it. They recently decided to purchase a reclining sectional and add a television. We helped them finish off the space with accent tables, artwork and window treatments.
This oversized club chair helps balance the sectional. The wood tray helps make the fun tufted ottoman more functional
We added petite faux roman shades to the doors that lead out to the patio. We did not want to block the view of the pool and beyond!
The sectional had a curved corner so we added this gorgeous black table with greek key motif to cover a poorly placed floor outlet and add additional lighting. This Living Room is now lovely and functional! Enjoy!

This project showcases a thoughtfully designed space blending modern functionality with timeless elegance. The Savoy Azula 12x24 Flooring provides a striking foundation, complemented by LATICRETE Frosty Grout for a seamless finish. Helix Quartz accents and Niche Shelves and Walls offer stylish and practical storage options. Fixtures like the Lumicoat Shower Head and Brilliance Polished Nickel Faucet bring a sleek, modern aesthetic, while Honey Bronze Fixtures and Knobs add warmth and sophistication. Features such as the Beveled Mirror, Shower Bench, and Marble Gem Tile enhance the space with classic touches and luxurious materials. The addition of Venetian Plaster adds texture and depth to the walls, while the Water Closet Wall Cabinet Elevation and Vanity Elevation with Mirror and Lighting optimize storage and functionality. The result is a refined, well-balanced design that combines comfort, style, and efficiency.

This timeless and functional kitchen is full of custom cabinets, large appliance panels, and even a stylish and functional ladder. Outfitted with a scullery, a drink station, and a mudroom, this transformation put a spin on the classics in their bright, modern kitchen flip. With time-traveling pieces like a functional sliding ladder for out-of-reach storage and a drink station reminiscent of an old-fashioned hotel bar, it takes accent pieces like geometric pendant lighting to return us to the modern day.

In this project, our client had specific goals and desires for her bathroom renovation to accommodate her changing needs. She requested a roll-in shower with an ADA accessible vanity along with custom storage that fit her farmhouse aesthetics. This presented a unique opportunity to build a custom storage piece that fit her exact use of the space. We completed this project in two phases so that our homeowners would not be without a functioning bathroom for more than a few days at a time. The shower build and tile work was done in Phase I and the vanity and storage unit was completed in Phase II.
We designed the vanity with a lowered countertop height on one end for easier access to the sink and a roll under countertop hidden behind cabinet doors. The barn door is situated to slide to cover either the closet for privacy or the shower opening to prevent steam from escaping. The two-toned cabinets were selected to create interest and depth since the unit is so large, and the white vessel sinks contrast beautifully with the dark granite countertop and linear stone backsplash. The finished product was a truly customized bathroom that maximized space, function, mobility, and design.

Modern Warmth Meets Sleek Functionality
This kitchen remodel by Shefer Builder Inc. blends modern design with natural warmth for a timeless, functional space. The layout features two-tone cabinetry—soft matte gray uppers paired with textured wood base cabinets—creating depth and balance.
Stainless steel appliances bring a sleek, contemporary touch, while white quartz countertops and a matching backsplash maintain a clean, seamless flow throughout. The space is flooded with natural light from a large bay window, which not only brightens the kitchen but also creates a cozy spot with a beautiful view of the outdoors.
A built-in wine fridge, optimized storage, and a thoughtful work triangle make this kitchen as practical as it is beautiful. Elegant LED lighting and a sculptural modern chandelier complete the look, adding both sophistication and warmth.
The result is a welcoming kitchen that perfectly balances modern aesthetics, functionality, and comfort — ideal for both everyday living and entertaining.
