Light hardwood floors flow from room to room on the first level. Oil-rubbed bronze light fixtures add a sense of eclectic elegance to the farmhouse setting. Horizontal stair railings give a modern touch to the farmhouse nostalgia. Stained wooden beams contrast beautifully with the crisp white tongue and groove ceiling. A barn door conceals a private, well-lit office or homework nook with bespoke shelving.

Millcreek Cabinet and Design constructed only the cabinetry. We do not have other information regarding the other finishes such as flooring, wall color, and counters; they were selected by the designer or homeowner.

One of the goals of the space was to create a triple homework desk that all three kids could use-for either homework or arts and crafts. It had to be beautiful, durable, and affordable. To further save costs, we chose not to use a custom desk but used an Ikea walnut top ($186) and two Ikea desk legs ($15/ea). The industrial style chairs were $75 from Target. A classic, elegant master suite for the husband and wife, and a fun, sophisticated entertainment space for their family -- it was a dream project!
To turn the master suite into a luxury retreat for two young executives, we mixed rich textures with a playful, yet regal color palette of purples, grays, yellows and ivories.
For fun family gatherings, where both children and adults are encouraged to play, I envisioned a handsome billiard room and bar, inspired by the husband’s favorite pub.
