Inspired by DesignARC's Greenworth House, the owners of this 1960's single-story ranch house desired a fresh take on their out-dated, well-worn Montecito residence. Our clients wished for a larger main bathroom with more light and storage. We expanded the footprint and used light colored marble tile, countertops and paint colors to give the room a brighter feel and added a cherry wood vanity to warm up the space. The matt black finish of the glass shower panels and the mirrors allows for top billing in this design and gives it a more modern feel.

A dark backyard was given a new life with dramatic additions of built in planting beds, custom cut salvaged pavers, green screen trellis and a ton of charm. The reclaimed barn doors add a focal point to the east wall while the custom built two-tier planting system allows vines to fill this garden which spans two floors of the client's home.

we made the shampoo niches tall enough and wide enough to accommodate the many hair care products, and added a shorter one above for the razor, loofah, soap, etc.

The 13' solid cherry countertop was stained to match the hardwood floors. The cabinet doors and drawers are a Shaker style, and feature brush oil rubbed bronze cup pulls and knobs for the hardware. The built-ins and trim are painted with Sherwin Williams Alabaster. On the walls we used Sherwin Williams Repose Gray.
