To hide the pool equipment, Betz built a ledgerock feature wall with a 6’ sheer descent waterfall. It can be set at full strength or to a ‘wet wall’ trickle of water. Each end has a ledge with a dramatic gas fire torch. The pool features custom vinyl over steel walk-in steps, plus an underwater bench, complete with spa jets.

This pool has elegant wide-tread custom vinyl over steel walk-in steps. The steps, adjoining spa seats and tanning shelf, are all lightly padded to provide comfort and prevent slipping. The pool’s blue pebble liner contrasts beautifully with the modern square-edge Algonquin stone coping.

The cabana’s lounge area can be fully enclosed for winter use. The two side walls feature folding glass panels and the end wall has a motorized retractable door. In winter, the fully-vented indoor gas fireplace and the ceiling mounted radiant heaters make the room feel quite cozy.

The entire back of the home comprises a massive kitchen and great room. The expansive adjoining patio area is partially covered and sumptuously appointed with a series of lounge areas plus an outdoor dining table for eight.

Two highlights of this pool are the radius corner spillover spa and the adjoining tanning shelf across the shallow end. The cabana provides welcome shade by day and a comfortable lounge area with gas fireplace and large media screen for evening entertainment. (24 x 33, custom rectangular)

This uber-modern backyard is totally secluded with high privacy fences and a shade structure across the back. Climbing vines along one side and a grove of bamboo on the other soften the hardscapes and stand in contrast to the pool's premium black pebble interior. (18 x 35, custom rectangular)

This young family in Richmond Hill had a shallow sloping lot on a ravine with such a sharp drop that it was impractical for most backyard activities. The dog ran around there but most family activities were restricted to the glass panelled porch. Betz provided a solution and helped to secure conservation approval for a four-foot retaining wall to level the area for a pool and patio.
