Rich, warm wood tones make up this Eggersmann kitchen. Upper cabinets feature smoked gray glass fronts and adjustable shelving. A large island doubles as a breakfast area with pneumatic swivel stools. The island features a rarely seen hashtag stone finish and creates waterfall edges on both sides. A gray and white linear mosaic is featured behind the stainless steel hood.

The designer's own kitchen was gutted and renovated in 2017, with a focus on classic materials and thoughtful storage. The 1920s craftsman home has been in the family since 1940, and every effort was made to keep finishes and details true to the original construction. This was a full gut an renovation. The existing kitchen had very dated cabinets and didn't function well for the clients. A previous desk area was turned into hidden cabinetry to house the microwave and larger appliances and to keep the countertops clutter free. The original pendants were about 4" wide and were inappropriate for the large island. They were replaced with larger, brighter and more sophisticated pendants. The use of panel ready appliances with large matte black hardware made gave this a clean and sophisticated look. Mosaic tile was installed from the countertop to the ceiling and wall sconces were installed over the kitchen window. A different tile was used in the bar area which has a beverage refrigerator and an ice machine and floating shelves. The cabinetry in this area also includes a pullout drawer for dog food.

This is a Classic Greenwich Home, stone & clapboard with exquisite detailing throughout. The brick chimneys stand out as a distinguishing feature on the exterior. Aseries of formal rooms is complemented by a two-story great room and great kitchen. The knotty pine library stand in contrast to the crisp white walls throughout. Abundant sunlight pours through many oversize windows and French doors.
