Lee Edwards - residential designSituated on the west slope of Mt. Baker Ridge, this remodel takes a contemporary view on traditional elements to maximize space, lightness and spectacular views of downtown Seattle and Puget Sound. We were approached by Vertical Construction Group to help a client bring their 1906 craftsman into the 21st century. The original home had many redeeming qualities that were unfortunately compromised by an early 2000’s renovation. This left the new homeowners with awkward and unusable spaces. After studying numerous space plans and roofline modifications, we were able to create quality interior and exterior spaces that reflected our client’s needs and design sensibilities. The resulting master suite, living space, roof deck(s) and re-invented kitchen are great examples of a successful collaboration between homeowner and design and build teams.

DAR Design and RemodelingThis Highlands Ranch bathroom remodel involved a complete transformation of an outdated space into a luxurious and functional retreat. Our team performed structural modifications, including moving walls to create a more open layout and improve flow throughout the bathroom. The project features stunning green tile work, premium Kohler fixtures, a custom double-shower design, elegant vanities, and carefully selected high-end finishes. The homeowners wanted a modern, spa-like bathroom with plenty of space and timeless style. By combining quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and durable materials, we created a beautiful bathroom that is both practical and built to last.
Soucie Horner, Ltd.Glamorous. Refined. Luxurious. Kid-friendly? Indeed! In fact, this Michigan Avenue weekend retreat is home-away-from-home for a family of six, including four young children. Still, serenity and sophistication reign, thanks to a rich array of shimmering, shining, glossy, glassy surfaces, from subtly patterned fabrics that disguise peanut butter and jelly fingerprints to luminous accents that cast an urbane glow as the sunsets over the Lake Michigan sky. Mostly-neutral interiors are energized by strategic pops of color; custom architectural embellishments infuse additional character. Floor plan modifications ensure expansive sightlines throughout, and accentuate skyline views.
Saikley ArchitectsSaikley Architects was commissioned to renovate and restore this spectacular home with a light touch, making only minor modifications to the floor plan to make it functional for the family’s needs. One of Alameda’s iconic houses, this mix of Prairie and Craftsman styles is full of lovely details such as leaded glass and hand painted windows, original woodwork and built-ins which were largely intact, and a huge wraparound porch with its original mosaic tile floor. Saikley Architects worked closely with Buestad Construction to replicateoriginal details at remodeled areas and restore theold finishes. New materials are simple and in keeping with the period of the house. All systems were upgraded to modernize the house.
Chermac Builders IncAfter photo of shower. Shower is over a wood subfloor that required modification to drop the shower pan to floor height. Curbless roll-in shower was installed to provide the client with a shower that could be more safely entered. Green walls tie into the wallpaper of the Master Bedroom, and glass/stone mosaic tile was chose to compliment the greens. Moen Kingsley grab bars were installed to provide safety without an institutional feel. In the foreground a raise and lower PT rail can be seen that assists the client with getting up and down from the toilet.

Both are controlled by a diverter valve shown above the temperature control valve. EW Architecture Inc.At roughly 1,600 sq.ft. of existing living space, this modest 1971 split level home was too small for the family living there and in need of updating. Modifications to the existing roof line, adding a half 2nd level, and adding a new entry effected an overall change in building form. New finishes inside and out complete the alterations, creating a fresh new look. The sloping site drops away to the east, resulting in incredible views from all levels. From the clean, crisp interior spaces expansive glazing frames the VISTA.

PDI ConstructionThe major elements of this house renovation were the kitchen, main entrance, and an upgrade to wall closet on a hallway. The main idea was to make the kitchen an integral part of the house. Interior walls were removed and a ceiling was raised to expand the space. Flat panel cabinetry were installed with a built-in look. CaesarStone white counters enhanced the contrast to the wood cabinets. The kitchen as well required extensive electrical, plumbing, and HVAC modifications. The new space is open, warm, bright and inviting. Our clients are most exited about now being able to enjoy the entire floor as one.
TerrainTerrain was invited to build this site by the landscape architect. This beautiful structure required extensive modifications and permitting to the existing building. We coordinated and installed a new Nano Door that brought the outdoors into the interior space. We custom ordered the basalt stone and slabs for the patio and the fireplace area. We installed the post and frame wood structure with six skylights to let the sunlight in and a heating system for year-round use. We worked with the electricians and landscape architect to create a LED lighting design that gives a luxury, 5-star feel.

Charles W Day DesignWhat was once believed to be a detached cook house was relocated to attach the original structure and most likely serve as the kitchen. Being divided up into apartments this area served as a living room for the modifications. This area now serves as the den that connects the master suite to the kitchen/dining area.
UserThis kitchen remodel included structural modifications and a complete re-design of the flow of the kitchen, with an island in the middle and a new peninsula instead of a solid wall opening to the formal dining area.
Both spaces were designed for more natural light, and given all new finishes. The finish choices and design decisions were made by our team working together with the client to achieve just the right look to complement the existing home layout.

Carpets Plus/ Cabinets Plus of Saint LouisThis couple was looking for an updated design for their 20+ year old kitchen. Some of the modifications made were relocation of refrigerator stacked cabinets, furniture styled island with seating for four and hand-scraped hickory flooring which helps stand up to the wear and tear of their many grandchildren and their 100 pound dog.
