Inspiration for a huge transitional u-shaped vinyl floor and brown floor eat-in kitchen remodel in Milwaukee with a farmhouse sink, shaker cabinets, blue cabinets, quartzite countertops, white backsplash, subway tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island and white countertops

Located in San Rafael's sunny Dominican neighborhood, this East Coast-style brown shingle needed an infusion of color and pattern for a young family. Against the white walls in the combined entry and living room, we mixed mid-century silhouettes with bold blue, orange, lemon, and magenta shades. The living area segues to the dining room, which features an abstract graphic patterned wall covering. Across the way, a bright open kitchen allows for ample food prep and dining space. Outside we painted the poolhouse ombre teal. On the interior, we echoed the same fun colors of the home.

Mid-sized mountain style single-wall painted wood floor and gray floor eat-in kitchen photo in Columbus with a farmhouse sink, recessed-panel cabinets, blue cabinets, marble countertops, white backsplash, marble backsplash, stainless steel appliances and white countertops

This suburban kitchen features a classic, traditional design with a timeless color palette. The gently glazed, white perimeter cabinetry adds warmth to the room, while the dark-stained cabinetry with custom mirror inserts seamlessly disguises the built-in refrigeration unit.

Relocating to Portland, Oregon from California, this young family immediately hired Amy to redesign their newly purchased home to better fit their needs. The project included updating the kitchen, hall bath, and adding an en suite to their master bedroom. Removing a wall between the kitchen and dining allowed for additional counter space and storage along with improved traffic flow and increased natural light to the heart of the home. This galley style kitchen is focused on efficiency and functionality through custom cabinets with a pantry boasting drawer storage topped with quartz slab for durability, pull-out storage accessories throughout, deep drawers, and a quartz topped coffee bar/ buffet facing the dining area. The master bath and hall bath were born out of a single bath and a closet. While modest in size, the bathrooms are filled with functionality and colorful design elements. Durable hex shaped porcelain tiles compliment the blue vanities topped with white quartz countertops. The shower and tub are both tiled in handmade ceramic tiles, bringing much needed texture and movement of light to the space. The hall bath is outfitted with a toe-kick pull-out step for the family’s youngest member!

Example of a transitional l-shaped medium tone wood floor kitchen design in New York with an undermount sink, shaker cabinets, white cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances and an island

When we started this project, opening up the kitchen to the surrounding space was not an option. Instead, the 10-foot ceilings gave us an opportunity to create a glamorous room with all of the amenities of an open floor plan.
The beautiful sunny breakfast nook and adjacent formal dining offer plenty of seats for family and guests in this modern home. Our clients, none the less, love to sit at their new island for breakfast, keeping each other company while cooking, reading a new recipe or simply taking a well-deserved coffee break. The gorgeous custom cabinetry is a combination of horizontal grain walnut base and tall cabinets with glossy white upper cabinets that create an open feeling all the way up the walls. Caesarstone countertops and backsplash join together for a nearly seamless transition. The Subzero and Thermador appliances match the quality of the home and the cooks themselves! Finally, the heated natural limestone floors keep this room welcoming all year long. Alicia Gbur Photography

Large french country u-shaped dark wood floor enclosed kitchen photo in Chicago with a farmhouse sink, raised-panel cabinets, beige cabinets, white backsplash, paneled appliances, an island, quartz countertops and glass tile backsplash

The colors from the wallpaper are repeated in the green paint and blue Ann Saks tile. This boldness is balanced by the sleek white Ikea cabinets, countertops and stainless steel hardware. The large copper pendants add warmth to the space and coordinate with the dark blue and light green jewel tones.

Eat-in kitchen - small transitional u-shaped light wood floor eat-in kitchen idea in San Francisco with an undermount sink, shaker cabinets, white cabinets, quartz countertops, multicolored backsplash, porcelain backsplash, stainless steel appliances and a peninsula

This kitchen was updated to reflect a light and airy mixed wood and paint, family eat-in style island. Inset cabinets paired with quart countertops and herringbone natural stone backsplash.

The layout of this bathroom was reconfigured by locating the new tub on the rear wall, and putting the toilet on the left of the vanity.
The wall on the left of the existing vanity was taken out.
