Designed for the original homeowner, this kitchen embraces a minimalist aesthetic where clean lines and hidden functionality take center stage. High-gloss white cabinetry contrasts with matte black elements and a dramatic stacked stone feature wall, while integrated appliances disappear seamlessly into the cabinetry. The centerpiece is a custom rotating Bubinga wood island, allowing the space to shift effortlessly between food prep, dining, and entertaining. Thoughtful storage solutions—including a hidden walk-in pantry and auto-opening Aventos upper cabinets—keep everyday necessities tucked away, preserving the home's sleek architectural character.

This wood side table's subtle Gray wash finish and cabriole legs bring understated beauty to your living room or study, while a center drawer offers storage for little necessities.

This San Diego remodel masterfully blends the aesthetic style of this home with the necessities of a functional lifestyle. This standard builder grade kitchen was in need of a modern update which was accomplished with thoughtful accents, color selections and more.
Replacing the outdated cabinets with a classic white and black pallet made the pairing feel modern or traditional, depending on the use of accessories and surrounding materials. Stacking cabinets took advantage of gorgeous, high ceilings and brought volume to the space, while delivering multiple storage options with a custom feel. For this particular client, we added touches of grey marble and dramatic blue glass to bring a contemporary edge to this kitchen.
In addition, the wood look porcelain tile throughout the space brings kitchen, dining, and family room together to create an open concept with connection and flow and virtually zero maintenance for a busy family.

A shingle-style home on the ocean.
This new 5000+ SF home is on Martha's Vineyard. A dramatic entry with ocean views washing over you as you enter. The first-floor plan has a generous kitchen/living/dining area large enough for extended family gatherings while also providing gorgeous views of the ocean. The office and den offer private spaces to get away from the hustle of family life while the first-floor suite gives the owners a generous bedroom for older relatives.
To reduce the scale of this large home the 2nd story was built into the roof. Both the master suite and the guest suite have private balcony views of the ocean, each bedroom has direct access to a bathroom and the clerestory space fills the 2nd floor with light while providing ocean views.
The Alaskan yellow cedar roof is one of the home’s most subtle features. The bleached shingles help soften the façade. An expansive deck and outdoor shower are necessities for Vineyard summers.

Outdoor rooms can also include handy workspaces for cooking and beverage storage and preparation. A grill is an absolute necessity. Nothing tastes better than a grilled dinner on a warm summer evening. Aspiring chefs may also want a wood-fired pizza grill to complete their outdoor cooking suite. Frequent entertainers will benefit from a bar station with a beverage fridge, built-in ice chest or even a full wet-bar with a unique copper sink that improves with age.

A classic Portland foursquare, lovingly owned by an active and lively family of four, had undergone some unfortunate previous renovations that were in desperate need of updating. A cramped kitchen layout, lacking countertop work space, non-functional appliance locations (the range was floating on it’s own!), cramped kitchen nook not large enough for eat-in space and therefor left underutilized, and a general lack of storage all needed to be addressed.
To increase functional space, we enclosed a small back porch and re-built the adjacent nook, folding in the square footage to create an expansive kitchen footprint. We relocated the back door and added a back deck while creating space for a mud bench for littles to tuck away their gear! The enlarged kitchen now boasts a extensive natural light thanks to the addition of several windows.
An easy work flow was created within the new kitchen layout featuring an in-island sink with range and hood flanked by matching windows. Custom cabinet accessories make storage a breeze and provide a space for all the necessities to be right at the homeowner’s fingertips. The eat-in kitchen space allows not only for lingering family chats, but homework and craft projects to be done while dinner simmers on the stove. This kitchen truly is the heart of this home!
All of the updates were completed with the home’s original foursquare architecture in mind. with a focus on classic architectural molding styles, traditional window details, and clean-lined classic fixtures. Youthfulness and modernity are infused into the space with the contemporary handmade tile backsplash, rich and timeless green cabinets, and artistic wallpaper with a whimsical floral print and subtle European nod. The custom range in cream and brass is a stunning showstopper and a testament that even the most functional of elements in a kitchen can still be beautiful! Which one is the star of the show? How do we pick just one?!

The homeowner was eager to update her dated kitchen into a modern yet functional space for both entertaining and cooking. The DEANE team worked to deliver a sophisticated, industrial vibe, leveraging unique materials and memorable accessories. The kitchen was outfitted with the full suite of SubZero/Wolf appliances and accessories to create a true chef’s kitchen for this family of six. The 48” range with griddle was a necessity, in addition to a convection oven, steam oven, and warming drawer. The decision was made to dedicate a refrigerator column to beverages with an independent ice maker by the beverage bar.
The white powder-coated convex hood is accented with polished stainless steel metal strapping. It is flanked by cabinetry columns with integrated LED lighting on either side, which have been recessed into the wall, projecting slightly to feel like professional displays. Satin stainless steel drawer fronts with polished trim for dramatic effect shine on the lower cabinetry on the cooking wall as well as the display and upper cabinetry on the opposite wall, adding a mix of transitional white cabinetry for warmth and variety. The backsplash is a 2 1/2 x 10 1/2 ceramic tile installed in a contemporary ‘stacked’ pattern, balanced by Calacatta quartz countertops. A finishing touch was to replace wood floors with 2×2 ft porcelain tiles that are warmed by radiant heat.

Experience the full effect of the family room with dramatic cathedral ceiling, built-in bookcases and grand brick fireplace. Several years ago, Jill and Brian remodeled their kitchen with TKS Design Group and recently decided it was time to look at a primary bath remodel.
Jill and Brian wanted a completely fresh start. We tweaked the layout slightly by reducing the size of the enormous tub deck and expanding the vanities and storage into the old tub deck zone as well as pushing a bit into the awkward carpeted dressing area. By doing so, we were able to substantially expand the existing footprint of the shower. We also relocated the French doors so that the bath would take advantage of the light brought in by the skylight in that area. A large arched window was replaced with a similar but cleaner lined version, and we removed the large bulkhead and columns to open the space. A simple freestanding tub now punctuates the area under the window and makes for a pleasing focal point. Subtle but significant changes.
We chose a neutral gray tile for the floor to ground the space, and then white oak cabinetry and gold finishes bring warmth to the pallet. The large shower features a mix of white and gray tile where an electronic valve system offers a bit of modern technology and customization to bring some luxury to the everyday. The bathroom remodel also features plenty of storage that keeps the everyday necessities tucked away. The result feels modern, airy and restful!

This primary ensuite bathroom clearly delivers LUXURY! A large free-standing tub and sparkling semi-flush chandelier bring the spa-like feel the homeowner was envisioning. The spacious shower features a patterned accent tile, a built-in bench with a quartz top, and a frameless shower door. The double vanity has quartz countertops and plenty of storage for all the necessities…and then some. Plantation shutters add traditional charm and diffuse natural light. Greige and gray tones play off each other to create a dreamy harmony.

This master bath was transformed from a dull and outdated area into a luxurious space boasting only the finest selections and amenities. The white marble floors are heated for optimal comfort and luxury. The marble continues up the shower walls to windows trimmed with
coordinating white marble capital moulding allowing natural light to flood into the room. The marble shower floor and niche lend a sophisticated nod to a refined pattern of bubbles. The niche was purposefully placed subtly around the corner to hide the client's shower necessities. Only the finest European fixtures and hardware were used throughout. The soaking tub is the centerpiece of the room with its graceful and delicate curves luring you into the bath. Elegantly detailed water jet marble topped with white marble capital moulding wraps the walls of the entire room evoking a feeling of warmth. The water jet marble is continued on the vanity wall behind the stunning crystal sconces and mirrors that reflect the charming sparkle of the chandelier above. Artisanal handmade glass sinks with a shimmering stripe of silver leafing are surrounded by the impressive porcelain countertops that add even more glamour and stature to this exquisitely appointed master bath.

Subtle Kitchen Tile Designs was the purpose for this client. Client came into French Creek Designs Showroom looking for a nice accent for her kitchen, she didn’t want anything to bold just to add a little something. She fell in love with the white subway tile Cloe. Each tile was a different shade of white tying into her countertops and white cabinets. Just enough texture and variance in color to achieve her desired look. Soon to be finished with adding shelves just above her sink for easy access to necessities and beautiful accents. In addition, client chose metal trim to complete the edges of their tile design beautifully.

This transitional kitchen brings in clean lines, simple cabinets, warm earth tones accents, and lots of function. This kitchen has a small footprint and had very little storage space. Our clients wanted to add more space, somehow, get the most storage possible, make it feel bright and open, have a desk area, and somewhere that could function as a coffee area. By taking out the doorway into the dining room, we were able to extend the cabinetry into the dining room, giving them their desk area as well as storage and a nice area for guests! A custom appliance garage was made that allows you to have all the necessities right at your hands and gives you the ability to close it up and hide all of the appliances. Trash, spice, tray, and drawer pull outs were added for function, as well as 2 lazy susans, wine storage, and deep drawers for pots and pans.
The homeowner fell in love with the matte white GE Cafe appliances with the brushed bronze accents, and quite frankly, so did we! Once we found those, we knew we wanted to incorporate that metal throughout the kitchen.
New hardwood flooring was installed in the kitchen and finished to match the existing wood in the dining room. We brought the warmth up to eye level with open shelving stained to match.
We love creating with our clients, and this kitchen was no exception! We are thrilled with how everything came together.

Built in the 1970s by a hardworking family patriarch, this Portland-area ranch home had been the backdrop for generations of memories. When the homeowners inherited the property from their grandparents, they saw an opportunity to honor its history while creating a modern sanctuary for their growing family. Through a thoughtful whole-home renovation, this once dark and compartmentalized ranch was transformed into a bright, open, and welcoming home designed for the next generation.
With a toddler at home and another child on the way, the family's goal was to create spaces that felt connected, functional, and built to last. The heart of the renovation centered on opening the home's main living areas, replacing disconnected rooms with a spacious open-concept kitchen and living room designed for gathering and everyday life. Enlarged windows flood the interior with natural light, while carefully selected finishes bring warmth, durability, and timeless appeal.
The kitchen became the focal point of the transformation. Stock cabinetry was elevated through custom details including floating wood shelves and stained wood-wrapped columns that add warmth and character. At the center, a striking quartz island serves as both a gathering place and a clever structural solution, seamlessly incorporating support elements required for the newly opened floor plan.
Creating this open-concept layout required significant structural modifications, including the removal of six walls, three of them load-bearing. Engineered beams were recessed into the ceiling to maintain clean sightlines, while new footings were carefully installed within the crawlspace to support the redistributed loads. Additional improvements included relocating the furnace to eliminate a major circulation obstacle and installing a new garage access door that required modifications to the existing foundation.
Throughout the project, thoughtful planning helped maximize both budget and performance. Luxury vinyl plank flooring provides the look of hardwood while standing up to children and large pets, while stain-resistant carpeting offers comfort in the bedrooms. Existing window locations were retained and enlarged to increase natural light without the expense of major structural changes. Even the structural columns required for the new beams were integrated into the island design, transforming a necessity into an architectural feature.
Completed two weeks ahead of schedule, this Portland metro ranch remodel demonstrates how thoughtful design-build remodeling can preserve a home's heritage while adapting it for modern family living. Through strategic planning, creative problem-solving, and quality craftsmanship, a beloved family home was transformed into a bright, functional retreat ready to create decades of new memories.
