This kitchen while modern and updated still has rustic elements (bar for example). Pendants provide a great lighting for the countertop, whille making a bold architectural statement in the kitchen. We love the modern but classic red cabinets. While this cabin is small in square footage. The dining/kitchen/family room open up to each other. Hired mid demolition, Regan Baker Design helped transform this tech and game savvy family of 4 in need of assistance with the design of their newly purchased Glen Park home. RBD finalized finishes, furniture and installation after 8 months of rebuilding their their 2 story, 3 bedroom 3 bath + Family room home. Finishes, fixtures, custom millwork and furniture were selected to reflect the cat and kid-friendly family, as well as a ton of closed built-in storage for the very well organized family. Kitchen - farmhouse kitchen idea in Cedar Rapids

This kitchen has many interesting elements that set it apart. The sense of openness is created by the raised ceiling and multiple ceiling levels, lighting and light colored cabinets. A custom hood over the stone back splash creates a wonderful focal point. The traditionally styled architectural mill work compliments the island's use of reclaimed wood, transitional tapered legs, and white Carrara marble. White Subway Tile and floating shelves in a distressed warm wood tone balance the barn door across the room and add another transitional touch to the room.
